Hi everybody,
I just wanted to let you guys know that I am wishing my hair would grow faster! I am so close to having it fall nicely behind my shoulders when it's dry. I am really getting anxious and have been looking at pics of long hair every day and practically dream of my hair being very long. Please don't tell me I'm crazy. Even though I already know I am!
Thanks for letting me rant here! I really appreciate your inspirational updates and they keep me going. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and may your manes grow well! Okay back to lurking(and looking in the mirror...)
/end rant

*giggles* - Teddy your funny ! - the only advise I can give you is live your wonderful life, be happy, have faith & let your fantastic hair evolve - relishing in all its different changes & moods - not forgetting patience was a key ingredient in da batter ... oft. the journey is the prize - not the destination - cheers buddy CEM :))
Hi CEM,
LOL! Thanks for the reply! I am definitely enjoying my life and growing the hair! Of course, our life is much what we make of it. You have to enjoy each and every day as if it were your last. Try not to take anything for granted. *Taking off old sage hat now*.
You are so correct about the journey being the prize. But when I get to my destination my prize will be inspiring the future longhair brigade. I had to post a pic of my current tail-even though it needs more work. Have a great weekend my friend!
Ted
Here is my second "make me feel good" pic.
YAY !!! = see !!! = we feel better already !!! (◡‿◡✿) - have a great weekend bud ! CEM.
Your hair is coming along nicely...
You've got a nice tail now.
How long have you been growing your hair out?
Mine is at the point where it is curling up around my ears and neckline. People are beginning to get the idea that this length is on purpose - not just my being lazy and not going to the barber.
Do you shave your neck so the tail will look neat or did it all grow out nicely like that?
Hi fitzgarce,
Many thanks for your very nice compliments! I would say in August I will have about 1 year of growing.
Sometimes the hair will tend to curl up around the ears and such. It is interesting how the hair tends to look neater and better the more you let it grow. Eventually you will get to the point where you can put your hair around your ears to keep it out of your face. Also, at that length you will be able to make a full ponytail. It seems right about when your hair is always falling in your face is the time when it's long enough for a tail. I am very happy to see people are realizing you are in it for the long haul. Of course, there's nothing wrong with being lazy and not visiting the hair butchery! And also saving untold amounts of hard-earned money!
As far as my neck, I do not shave it at all. That photo doesn't show my neck hairs very well. I am posting another photo from a few months ago. I probably won't shave those hairs because I plan on wearing my hair down and loose most of the time. The photo you are talking about was taken a day after I washed my hair with shampoo and conditioner. That's probably why it looks good. Some days my hair frustrates me.
Hope you have a wonderful weekend my friend! Please keep growing your hair as I look forward to your future updates!
Ted
Well, Ted - your hair looks great -
Now, for your next update, give us a picture of your hair flowing, like you say you like to wear it...
Before you know it you will have shoulder length I am sure - by Christmas? with a half inch per month - that'll give you another almost 3 inches to grow and flow! LOL
Fitz
Hi Fitz,
Thanks a bunch for your kind words! I need to get about another 6 inches or so to show a "flowing hair" update. Yes, by Christmas I will probably be approaching solid armpit length. Right now my hair is past shoulder length only in the middle of the back. The sides and front haven't quite caught up yet.
Ted
Hi fitzgarce,
Here is the photo of my neck hairs. I forgot to post it in my reply above.
Ted, Your hair is coming a-long nicely. Have patirnce. Soon you will know the thrill of having yur tail caught between you and high seatbacks. having it whip around and wave at you on windy days, or in a convertible. Just enjoy the journesy, no two days are alike with hair.
Hi Jason,
Thanks for the nice reply! I really appreciate your kind remarks! I am surely enjoying this journey and the different moods of my hair. Yes, patience is definitely needed here. Now, if I could just get that convertible-1957 Ford Fairlane please! Then I would be all set!
Hope you have a wonderful weekend my friend! I look forward to your next update!
Ted
I feel the same way too. I've been growing it for 16 months and it still feels like it's barely growing. Sometimes it still feels like I'm in the awkward stage because of how poofy it gets at points regardless of the heat or not. I hope time can pass on faster so it'll finally weigh itself down. I don't want to keep it in a ponytail for too long as well...
Hi Andy,
Thanks for the reply! Your hair will(and does) look awesome! After it gets more length, I know you will love your hair. The color and thickness is definitely enviable. Please keep it growing and flowing! We will get there with patience my friend!
Ted
Hey Ted!
First off, I love the tail pic, you really have some wonderful length and shine there, for only being 3-3.5 months ahead of me in the (ironally called) ratrace for long hair ;) Keep up the great work, buddy!
As for the concept of time, growing your hair and waiting.. you know what, bud? The more the months go, the faster it seemes to have gone in total. I am sure that if you ask any dude here who has been growing his hair for many years, they will tell you that it surely doesn't seem that way, and that time has gone REALLY fast!
The same way I can tell you that months 3-4 were muuuuuch slower than months 7-8 for me, and I am sure months 15-16 will go by even faster! Funny thing, this percetpion of time! ;)
Either way, keep up growing and flowing, buddy! Everything's gonna' turn out just fine! :D
