Hey everybody, long time no see! :)
I was recently at the movies and got to watch the new Zombie flick 'World War Z', starring Brad Pitt. While the move itself was rather entertaining (Independence day gone zombiefied), what I really liked of course the mane on the main star, oddly enough!
The REALLY funny (and maybe a bit sad too, depends on your POV) thing about it, is that while googling "brad pitt's hair in world war z", I got to this little arcticle, having to do with exactly that... even though they are less impressed than I am, calling it a strange midlife crysis sign.
Well, I will let you read for yourselves! I, for one, got to start thinking about perhaps cutting off the hair on the back of head, in order to let the front and sides grow at a simmiliar length as the back... will have to think well about that one :)
Must read!
I chalk that article up to the author being one of those people who thinks only young people can rock long hair. So Brad is almost fifty. So what? There's many of us here that are fifty and above. Long hair on older men may not be common, but it's hardly mid-life crisis material.
The nerve of some people.... :P
Thanks for sharing that article!

I would also mention that the director pbobably wanted to
have Pitt with longish hair to after seeing him films like
Interview with a vampire and other films.
But the bottom line here, it's up the director as to how
Pitt's hair looks.
And his age is no concern. He could be in his 50s and the
miracle workers in the behind the scenes can sucessfuily
make him look in his 20s. Between makeup, facial appliances,
and other special effect miracles they can work wonders
with actors.
This is nothing new. You can go back the 1960s when Star Trek
had their characters from very young to very old.
You'd think this author would grasp the concept of
special effects magic. They've only been doing for many yaars now. (And this doens't include some of the newest techniques
where they can take an actor doing a scene and then
create a computer generated image to have that character appear later in any way the director wants.
I read this article and the writer needs to get a life.
Why does Brad Pitt have this hair style in the movie?
Because the director of the movie decreed to Bradd Pitt and the hair staff int the film production company how the hair should look.
Now it's up to Bradd Pitt what he does with his after the shootind ends but he may very well opt to keep it if they have to
shoot additional scenes later in the production process.
Also it is very possible that his contract committs him to appear in any sequels to to be made. And that may limit what he can do with his hair.
BTW, did you check out Johnny Depp as Tonto in the Lone Ranger?.
Brad Pitt has been growing his hair out for a couple years now. I have been intrigued by the process and have followed it somewhat. His doing so has encouraged me to grow mine out, which is something I've always wanted to do, but always bowed to pressure to stick with the norm. So, I doubt he will cut it unless he wants to cut it. He seems like the kind of guy that does what he wants and at this point in his life can afford to do what he wants, too.
That's funny you say this, because while I haven't seen the movie yet, the first time I saw the preview I admired his hair as well!
