This guy called Ben, I've been watching his progress for a good year now. This is his latest video after hitting the 2 year mark, and even though he's a special kinda bird, I really suggest you check the video out. Probably my dream hair right here :)
Funny how guys with straight fine hair can show results much quicker than the rest of us! I know that back in the day, even after 3 years I wasn't even close to this length, because of all the curling I was experiencing at the bottom.
Enjoy!

Hey Raul,
Just finished watching his vid and have to say his hair is quite awesome but I'm puzzled why he talks about possibly cutting it back some because he thinks its too long!Yea it's long but not like its down to his ankles!lol.I think his current length is just the beginning as he is clearly out of the awkward stage and the rest is gravy. He did suggest doing a couple no no's as he mentioned straightening and applying dye be it only some streaks. However his hair is truly an inspiration for all and hopefully he continues to grow it:) Cheers

Well Mark, you know I respect your opinions and experience in growing and keeping great looking and healthy hair, but I too, agree that what he has is rather LONG hair, and not many people would actually go far longer than that.
It's all a matter of being a long-hair enthusiast, at the end of the day :)
I too plan on straightening and coloring my hair, as the bottom line for ME, really is having fun and enjoying my hair, not reaching a terminal length of anything of the kind :)
Either way, dude is a bit funny, but I LOVE that hairtype! :D
This guy has incredible hair. It's pretty obvious he enjoys playing with his hair and, yeah, he is an interesting fellow - but his hair is fantastic. I had hair like that when I was his age but regret never growing it out long - even though I was a teen in the early 70s and styles were longer then - I didn't let it go beyond middle to the bottom of my ears - I am amazed that he got such great length after just 2 years. Truely inspiring, as I work on my own "bucket list" of growing it out! thanks for sharing it, Raul.
Hey Fitz!
Please remember that no matter the stage in life, the quality of hair or no other external parameters and factors... what really matters is what your heart wants you to do, and how YOU want to appear.
Afear all, you need to be comfortable in your own skin, right? That definitely includes hair, in my eyes.
So screw the teens.. there's no better time than RIGHT NOW, buddy! =)
THANKS for the encouragement, Raul!
Today at work :)
A high half-ponytail, helped by some gel to keep it all in place, and a tad straightened backside.
Works for now, even if it looks nothing alike now, 8 hours later! hehe :D
Hi Raul,
This is an excellent look for you! I am far too lazy to do things like this! Also, I wouldn't look very good with this look! But then again, you have those model type looks:) Please keep it growing and flowing!
That guy in the video does have nice hair. Very much an inspiration to me! Thanks for posting! Great weekend to you my friend! I'm off to dialysis:)
Ted
Thanks alot, Ted! =)
I am sure you could pull off quite a few more looks than me, seeing as you have much longer hair at the moment, all it takes is daring to try something new!
This look takes about 10 mins to fix, even with unruly, wavy morning hair (on me).
First I brush it backwards while still keeping the side-part, then put some L'Oreal Studio Fix Mineral Invisigel on the front and sides to make them sticky, pull the little half-tail, and straighten the back. Again, doesn't hold through a whole day of playing with the kids outside during kindergarten, but works well enough for now.
As soon as I can pull off the half-tail again without having to make it stay with gel, I am dropping that, though :)
As for the so called model looks... I got a pretty clear message from my agency that they want me with short hair, so we shall see if that is no longer an issue. Either way, I am on my way to long hairdom again, and loving it! :)
Good luck at dialysis today, buddy!
Hi Raul,
That's interesting how you achieve that look. I guess I am not that brave to try these new styles-plus my laziness factor! I appreciate your nice comments about me being able to pull off more looks!
I am sure the agency wants to control what you do with your hair. I sure hope they change their mind! I am happy to hear you're going to keep growing though! Have to do what you want to!
Thanks for the dialysis comments sir! Hopefully the time will pass quickly! Keep up the great work with the kids buddy!
Ted
That's a really cool look! It's great that you're already able to pull off a variety of looks this early in your longhair journey. Going with the half or mini-tail options adds a lot of possibilities.
Thanks Jason! And from one hair fanatic to the other, don't think I am not pulling this look off without any thought of my hairlife. Jesus man, I don't know anymore if I am just being paranoid or not, but I really wish my hairline would be a but more symmetric...
No point in driving oneself crazy though, so I won't do a Jason and get it tested quite yet, but I really need to start thinking more positive here, hehe.
Thank you, buddy! :)
My hair could have been longer than his right now, but it isn't because I made mistakes like triming it about four times and one time I cut off a little bit too much. Though, I disagree with him that his hair is "very, very long". To me, it is not even very long. It's just long.
