I posted this earlier but apparently it didn't show up, maybe I did something wrong. Anyway I'm wondering what are some good hair ties? (other than Monies b/c those are great but I'm looking for something that can be found in the store so I can check size etc.) I have heard Scunci and Goody make some good ones that don't damage hair too much but anything specific? I went to K-Mart the other day but there were so many I didn't know what to get, plus all the middle aged women giving me weird looks didn't help either. So what do you guys use? If you could tell me what store you buy them at it would help too. Thanks
I like scunci hair ties. I can get them at the drug store or supermarket, and they don't have metal clasps. I use the thicker ones. They come in multiple colors (including packs of more "manly" colors like navy, brown, and black), and are large enough not to dent your hair too bad.
Sometimes, however, I pull my hair back into a tail, and for some reason there's one hair that ends up getting pulled. I mess and mess with my hair trying to relieve the pinch until I have to redo the tail. I think it's caused by the rubber in the elastics having so much grip on the hair.
So, I tried Scunci's Hair Hosiery. They're hair ties made of pantyhose material and they have no clasps or hard glue spots to snag hair. With them, I haven't had that "one pulled hair" problem at all.
