  Sorry to butt in here, but I found the site when I was searching for some info on lighting my hair with lemon juice and then I saw the posts on hair buyers.

  I was looking for someone who would purchase hair a couple of years ago when I cut mine off (got tired of sitting on it) but could never find anyone. I got the impression that it's illegal to purchase human hair in the US unless it's for research (like maybe color research by Clairol). I still have my hair and would still like to sell it if you know of someone in the US who does buy hair. I live in NC.

    Check the message boards linked from http://the-light.com/hair.html. Most of them occasionally have posts from hair buyers. They pay more if it's still on your head. How long is the hair you cut off? What color?

      Thanks for the tip--too bad I didn't know about these sites before I cut it off. I estimate the hank I have is about 70 cm./28 in. long and honey blonde, pretty much straight and fairly thick. Never dyed or blow-dried. Someone in my office once told me I looked like "The Thing" from the Adams Family--one of the impetuses for cutting it.
