Hey everyone, first time posting anything up altough i've been checking out this site for a while. When i was younger i used to have long, then at 12 i shaved it all off. I've been growing my hair and shaving it off for quite some time now. 18 yo at the moment, i've decided to let it grow out long now since i miss having long hair. Got it buzzed on March 22 of this year and tomorrow it'll be 6 months since i haven't even had a trim. I don't know what to do with my "mullet". What do you guys thng?
Amazing what happens in only 6 months and you are very lucky to have such a great hair-type to work with. The Mullet look is to be expected for a while now and this happens to everyone growing out their hair. Just let it all continue to grow for now and in the end you will emerge with the most wonderful long hair to be very proud of.

I agree with Justin! You have good hair. Just let it grow for a while and don't trim.

Hi Hugo,
I also think you have great hair to grow! If you miss having long hair, you should just let it grow and flow! The mullet will go away as your hair grows longer. My mullet is finally disappearing and I have been growing for about 13 months now. When the mullet goes away your hair will all sit behind your shoulders. Please don't buzz your hair anymore and just let it grow. I look forward to your future updates my friend!

Hi Hugo,
Wow, what a transformation and certainly you have very nice hair but that pic on the left with the buzz cut is scarey!I'll never understand why guys do that to themselves as there is nothing redeeming about that look in my opinion. I'm glad your coming back on board with longhair as who wants to look like a convict;)Cheers
Mark
I totally agree with Mark. I can totally understand you wanting to grow long hair. What I can't understand is why you keep buzzing it off all the time.
It takes at least a year or so to grow a good head of hair. In the meantime, it goes through the "awkward stage"; the hair does all sorts of stupid things coz it's not yet long enough for the weight to hold it down. But it's only a passing phase. Just bear with it for a few months and from then on it's all plain sailing.

Wow, your hair grows really fast !
Dont worry about the mullet. Just let it be and it will do its own thing. I am sure you will surprise us with some good looking hair in another 6 months or so, since your hair grows so fast.
Hey Man, looking great! Your hair looks similar in type to my own. Fast growing, straight and plenty of volume! Keep going strong, this place is great for whenever you are feeling unsure!
I made the mistake of trimming the back about 4 months in so I could avoid the mullet look. I'm at 11 months now and I think if I had that extra 2 inches back I could probably pull off an actual pony tail. So my recommendation is to live with the mullet for the next 5 months and you'll be happy you did when you can finally pull it back!

Thanks for the tip Tommy! I was unsure as to what to do with my mullet but i'll just let it grow out without getting it trimmed.
Lookin' good there, Hugo -- in fact, in my opinion you have the ideal kind of hair that would look awesome if grown to the very looooongest mega-length possible... down to your knees, or even longer! Hey, why settle for subtlety when you can make people turn their heads in envy instead, right? (LOL)

Looks great. I wouldn't let scissor s near it. I got one slight trim in the spring but only after I had a decent ponytail. I wouldn't trim (if you can tolerate it) until you have a solid ponytail.
