i have been growing my hair for over 6 years I am tring to get it to my waist but I am not there yet.the longer my hair gets the more i like it does everyone think this way?is long hair additive?
First of all... I am exceedingly envious of your longhair accomplishment! Anyway, addictive is an excellent word for it. But I prefer OBSESSIVE. If you spent five minutes reading this board, you would find that long hair is all consuming to most who post here. Not all, but the majority none the less. I know it is for me. I consider myself to still be knee deep in the awkward stage, but I am slowely getting there. No where near compared to you, but give me about three years and I'll be a happy camper for sure! Yea... ADDICTIVELY OBSESSIVE for sure! (above is my progress from 3/6/02 to 7/7/02 - see what I mean by nothing compared to you? Good job, dude!)
Once hair gets beyond the waist, one will never want to cut it because it took too long to grow and one may regret having cut it for years. Thus, either turn back while you can, or else enjoy having long hair for life!

Yes its addictive. As it gets longer I keep revising my goals - currently the short term goal is waist length and the longer term goal is knee length. I can't forsee cutting it, ever.

Yes, it is addictive! I may be at the same stage as you.
I started growing at the end of March 1996, and started
from a "#2" buzz cut. My longest strands are now below
mid-back, and heading for my waist. Patience is a virtue. :-)
*Why* is long hair addictive? To me, there is absolutely
nothing that feels more sensuous than having my hair
touch my bare shoulders, back, and nipples. Once one
has experienced these feelings, one can only conclude
that one must have long hair forever! Good luck in growing
towards your waist. Let's celebrate together via e-mail
when we get there. After that, the next goals will be
