Haven't posted here in a long time, but I felt it was time.
So I started my journey of growing out my hair almost 2 years ago, it all started here when I was lurking pictures of other members and their stories and experiences about hair growth.
In order to give back, I thought I'd share my progress and potentially give any lurkers the inspiration to begin their journey.
21 months and a couple of trims later here are the results. I'm glad to say I couldn't be happier.

Your hair looks really good! I too am growing out my hair from a buzzcut and hopefully it'll look similar to yours.. I'm only 6 months into my journey..

Bri, outstanding progress - did you have any idea when you started from your buzz that you'd have such beautiful hair with the curls like that? Isn't it amazing what you've got now?

To be honest, I had no idea how my hair would look, total gamble. All I knew was that my hair was SUPER thick and wavy.
It was a long process growing it out, my hair was so unruly, all over the place and was always "poofing". It took forever to drop, but when it did it became much easier to manage.
All in all, I'm very happy the way it turned out haha.

Thanks Hugo, I hope you stick with your decision if its what you want. I was told by SO many people to cut it all off when i was growing it out, but guess what? 3/4 of them now love my hair and are telling me NOT to cut it since they find it suits me.
Goes to show that other peoples opinions don't matter haha. This journey has its ups and downs but in the end, it's totally worth it.

Thanks Dave, when I started growing it out I just wanted it long, I didn't have an exact length in mind.
As of now, I think i'm almost at the length I want it to be.
Jason Momoa served as inspiration to me when I was growing my hair out, I fell in love with his hair and I was thrilled to see mine is almost same style and texture as his.

Like yourself, I began my long hair journey thirty (30) months ago from a guage 4 buzz cut. I am very happy with my long hair. You look like you're enjoying your long hair journey, also. If I may say so, you look absolutely awesome with long hair; I hope that you decide to keep it long and grow it out to terminal length. I like how your hair has some curl to it; it looks like mine.
I feel a kindred with guys who also choose to grow their hair long. We are a minority and many do not appreciate guys having long hair. I do not want to tell anyone how they should wear their hair, however, if a bro feels that he really wants to grow his hair out and feels intimidated by others we should be there for him to help him to do what he feels in his heart is part of who he is. The rewards are well worth it as you and I have come to discover.
