I'm wondering if there is any proven method or product that will make your hair grow faster than a mere 1/2 inch per month. I'm tired of waiting! I've seen the shampoos, and vitamins in stores that "claim" they work, but most people who cut hair say they don't work. Any insights?

Ignore the claims. It is impossible to make hair grow faste. Have patience, my friend. One of the greatest joys longhairs have the pleasure of experiencing is the result of a lot of patience, and perserverence.
I have heard that if you wear your hair up in a ponytail that it makes it grow faster, and brush it when your in the shower.
You'd be nuts to do something like that. It will rip out your hair. Nothing can really make your hair grow faster. You could massage your head, it will help to increase blood flow to you scalp.

Take an extra supplement of folic acid every day - 1 in the morning and 1 at night. Don't overdo it though! An overdose of folic acid will cause an imbalance of Vit B-12!
Yes! If you pick up a longhair by the hair, carry him to an oak tree branch ten feet above the ground, and tie him hanging from it with a firm square knot, his hair will grow 9/16 of an inch per month!

I think Bill is a homo and Mark had a good question because I want my hair to grow faster and I hear that hoarse conditioner can do it and it doesnt hurt your hair either, but it makes it softer and shinier.
Hi. My name is Jessie and I am a hair stylus. All those product that claim to make your hair grow faster and stronger do not. However, you can take prenatal vitamins (whether or not you are pregnant) and it will help your hair grow faster. There is nothing that will make it grow in a very short amount of time or overnight. You have to have patience. Or, while you are growing out your hair. You can get hair extentions or just wear long wig. That is what I did and it worked great. I had short hair (shorter than meg ryans), but I took prenatal vitamins and when I started getting frustrated, I wore a long human hair wig. I loved it. Just ask jeeves "Where you can buy a wig online." Hope this helps everyone going through the frustration of growing out their hair.
Hi. I AM A hair sylist, and prenatal pills do not help yuour hair grow. Hair grows half an inch a month no matter what you do. When pregnant, it is the hormonal imbalance that makes your hair grow, not the prenatal pills.

i heard that if you cut your hair 1/2" on a full moon it will make it grow faster.i've not yet tried it.i only heard this yesterday i will try it this months full moon.what do i have to lose.well besides 1/2" of hair?!
get a good amount of protein and calcium in your diet.... that is basically what hair is made.
i tried HF37 for about a year and concluded that while there was some acceleration, the difference did not justify the considerable expense. my guess is that vitamins won't really work unless you have a vitamin deficiency... in which case your best bet is to correct your diet & not fatten the coffers of a vitamin manufacturer. ½ inch per month is about normal-- eat a balanced diet, take care of you hair and be patient.
