It's been a few months since my hair appears to have grown...I haven't cut or trim it since April of 2001. Is it possible that it could already be at maximum length? It's only at like my shoulders and in the back it goes a little past the end of my neck. I know that a lot of people say that trimming it will help it grow quicker but I'd rather it not look shorter. Also one more thing I'm considering...a straightening iron might make it look longer at least since it tends to curl. Any bad side effects to using them? Thanks for responding...assuming someone does.
TRIMMING DOES NOT MAKE HAIR GROW FASTER!!!!! It only keeps your hair
shorter longer.
Yeah I know it doesn't seem to make sense that dead cells would grow longer if you cut them but so many people have claimed that it helps grow for some reason. I have also heard from a friend that when hair gets too heavy it stops growing and needs to be trimmed. Also, when i run my fingers through it, i can oftentimes pull out strands, especially in the back where it kind of curls. Oh well, it might just be that it curls a bit towards the end and therefor, looks like it's not getting any longer. Thanks though.
Your hair sounds exactly like mine esspecially the strands coming out at the back thing. My hair didn't seem to be growing but when I pull my bangs down when they're wet I can see some progress. Don't worry about it ^_^
Maybe your hair grows very slowly and you don't notice it.
