I was watching Rocky Horror Picture Show and it occured to me i'm
getting old. After all I first saw it in 1975. My hair had no grey back then, but it was still long. (Heck had to get it back on topic somehow.)
If you've never seen it you really should. RHPS ran for most of those 40 years in Midnight Shows. IFC is running it today, but it doesn't compare to seeing in a theater with a live audience. It's the audience participation that really makes the movie.
But then i'm 59 years old am old.
The Rocky Horror Picture Show is awesome! The live show is still doing the rounds on tour in the UK and I saw it a couple of years ago. I've seen the film on TV too but yeah, as you said, the atmosphere would be much better in a cinema.
BTW, 59 ain't old! I don't think of people as 'old' until they get to at least 70!
But then, people age at different rates. Some people are 'old' at 35; some are still 'young' at 65. A lot of it has to do with attitude. If you *think* and *act* like an old person, you will *be* old. It becomes self-fulfilling.

I agree with this statement 100%!
Also saw it in the theatre in '75. Oh yeah! My hair was long then. about as long as I had had it (just a little longer than my hair is now.) Of sourse, I also had a 28 inch waist. Struggling to keep it at 30 now. Hair was copper and brown. Not a white hair to be seen. Moustache was red and blond. Now all white. Hey. I'm 62 and earned each and every one of those white hairs. Whatever color my genes say it's to be I'am glad my genes have seen that I still have a full head of hair.
Now when I saw Rocky Horror back in 1975 I had long hair,
my waist was 28 inches, and I weighed under 110 pounds. I was very much underweight for what it should have been for my
height of 5'9"
Now that i'm 59 years old my weight is in the 180 pound neighborhood, (it should ideally be 160 pounds.)
But then back in 1975 they didn't have skinny jeans although
I could buy standard 28 inch jeans and they would be skin tight
which is how skinny jeans are supposed to fit from what I understand.
Back in 1975 I had no grey hair, but then when I left Rocky Horror my hair was covered in white rice. (If you've been
to a live audience wiewing of Rocky Horror you know why.)
Ahh those were the days...........
Sadly, while they do show Rocky Horror at theaters, they don't allow rice, water, and other props anymore. It really takes away from the fun of the movie.
Oh and I alao earcned every single one of those grey hairs that I have now.
A guide for Rocky Horror virgins
Oh, yes indeed, do i well remember the props used by the audience in participation with the movie. We re very close to being twins. I was also thin, with the afore mentioned 28 inch waist on my 5'9" frame. I was only a little heavier. perhaps 120 or so. Yes, I was all legs, or so it seemd. 39 inch waist with 34 inch inseam, 36 with boot cut jeans. or bells. Hard to find that sizr mix, but yes when I did, they were snug, at least to the knee. If I were to reach that same weight/waist size, today, I'd likely be in hospital. 30 inches is my best and I am happy with that.
I know this may sound like a cliché, but age is just a number .
I met people in their 20s who were like a granny. I also met people from 70 who acted and look like young people.
Without going any further, my grandmother just turned 80. She looks like a women in her fiftys and is the coolest , open minded person I have ever met.
So I dont believe in age.
59 is the new 29. Numbers are irrelevant.
I actually went to Rocky Horror a few months back. I'm 39 and used to go in my late teens. A kid I know, like family, performs in it and really wanted me to go and see it.
It was quite a Time Worp.
