Hi all,
Here is my update pic for November. I know there isn't much difference! But I am getting more satisfied with how my hair is laying now. This is the day after I washed with shampoo and conditioner. The left side looks like I didn't get it combed out right. Oh well, at least it seems to still be growing:). Onward and downward my friends!

It's beautiful progress, Ted. You've got great hair - I'm sure the other guys will agree. it may not be as long as Jason's or Ken's but if I saw you in the grocery store, I would stop and stare at you and say to myself - there's another good looking long haired guy - I can't wait for my hair to get that long!

Much appreciation for your very kind comments! I was a little early posting an update this month. But after seeing the other updates I just had to post! I can only hope to achieve Ken and Jason's length! Hopefully the hair gods are on my side! Needless to say, if I saw you in the grocery store with any length hair the feeling is mutual my friend! You are a good looking dude man! Heck I might even be dropping stuff if I saw you! And with all the inspiration here, how could I not be encouraged! Thanks again for the nice reply!

Much appreciation for your very kind reply! I think I have a heck of a blend of colors! Red, brown, gray and who knows what else! Kind of wish I had inherited my dad's jet black hair. My mom has red hair. My brother has dishwater blond. But he got the receding hairline. My goal length remains waist length minimum. One of these days my friend! And you ain't lookin' too bad yourself!

Ted, every month I see progress, every month I see a difference, and every month I notice more length -- even if the length at first seems not all that much, the fact remains that it is indeed GROWING AS WE SPEAK!!!!
Cool, huh?! I view it as one of Mother Nature's most unacknowledged little "miracles", the fact that our hair continues to grow and flow our entire lives, many times unnoticed...
Looking very excellent my friend, keep it growing & flowing!

PS - on another subject: what kind of dancing does your wife enjoy doing? Please tell her that my favorite partner dances are: West Coast Swing, Salsa, Cha-cha, Waltz, Tango (I know American Tango best, but I love love LOVE Argentine Tango, only I don't know that one very well), and Country & Western 2-Step.

Thanks so much for the very nice reply my friend! I think it's funny how we don't see much progress ourselves. But other people do. Yes, I do seem to be growing ever so slowly though. As long as it keeps growing I'll be happy! Hopefully I won't see much taper for a while.
My wife used to go dancing before she met me! She really enjoyed country dancing. Needless to say, we haven't ever been dancing together! She is a good dancer though. She knows about the other dances but never really danced them.

Awesome update as I can clearly see your hair now extending beyond your shoulders and down your upper back!Also looks like your developing that natural "V" shape too.Great looking hair as it's only going to get easier from this point forward. Have to say you gotta be out of the awkward stage now.Are you able to do a full ponytail with all your hair in the tie?Your hair is going to look super for the holidays my friend:)Cheers

I do thank you kindly for your very nice reply my friend! Yes, i am slowly but surely making some progress! I think that V shape is coming from the growing out of the crazy layers I had before. I can do a decent tail, but I still think I need to grow the sides a few more inches. I know once all of my hair fully sits behind the shoulders it should be nice. Maybe it will do that as a Christmas gift to me:) I must say I am looking forward to your next update too! I have always admired your hair, especially with the henna!Thanks again my friend!

Thank you so kindly for the very nice words my friend! I am trying to be patient man! Sometimes it drives me crazy! Just trying to get it all where it sits well behind the shoulders. Then it will be cool. At least it's nice and thick and heavy! Maybe it will just stay out of the way for once! I definitely enjoyed your update too! Your hair is just looking great man! Another year and we will be happy we got through it!

I tried to take a quick pic of my hair staying behind my ear. I only took one side because my wife went to bed. Next time I will do both sides:) I noticed my hair stays behind my ears at this length when I go without washing with shampoo. Pretty cool I say! On a side note, my wife is getting a kick out of me going through all the stages she went through growing her hair back out! She just chuckles and says "been there, done that"!

It's absolutely awesome, Ted - I like the curls and the way it looks behind your ears... I'm glad you are having a blast with this whole thing - and I am glad your wife is enjoying it with you.

Thanks for the comments buddy! I suspect the curling will probably fall out some once my hair is allowed to hang free from the shoulders. The back of the neck and shoulders have a bad habit of making our hair "bunch up". But whatever my hair does, I will be content with it. Truly curly hair usually starts curling all the way up at the temples and closer to the scalp. But then again, curly hair can also have curls only at the ends. This is what is so fun about growing hair out. Which reminds me, I am looking forward to your next update!
Yes, my wife and I are having fun seeing what my hair does. She just laughs when I complain about my hair and its different personalities! Sometimes not funny:)

Isn't that so much more convenient when your looking down or eating? I have just started to be able to do this as well and its so much better than the hair in my eyes!

My apologies for the late reply! Yesterday was a rough day at dialysis and I was hurting. Thanks so much for your very kind remarks my friend! My hair is definitely thicker than I would like it at times! But I better not complain! I can't wait to put a waist length update here! Another couple years maybe! I apologize for the delayed reply! My dialysis was rough yesterday and I just didn't get on the computer last night. Yes, I am enjoying this journey! I really appreciate your kind words about my posts! I must thank everyone here at the board for the encouragement to keep growing! This board is an awesome place to get info and motivation to keep growing! I have to thank Justin for all the videos that explain the various "issues" of growing our hair!
I must tell you that since I was diagnosed with Polycystic kidney disease in 2008, I have changed my way of thinking. I realize now that every day is a gift. That's why we call it the "present". I enjoy each and every day like I never did before! In fact, most of the time I forget I have a disease that could kill me without dialysis treatments 3 times a week. Of course, it is up to us to create happiness in our lives! With that said, onward and downward my friend!

Lookin good Ted! I think we were at about the same length... but you will probably surpass me... as I grow slower.... my last cut was 4 years ago this month...

I apologize for the delay in replying! Dialysis gave me hell yesterday and I didn't feel like getting on the computer. I do thank you very kindly for the nice comments my friend! I think my hair has slowed down in growth rate nowadays. I remember I used to have to get haircuts very often to maintain a style. You are correct about the patience! Your hair will get there man! Just try to forget about it and let it grow! Your hair is going to look wonderful as it grows longer! I believe you are going to look very nice with long hair! I am glad to hear I encourage you! Just remember Rome wasn't built in a day! Epic creations take much time to complete-like fantastic manes! Onward and downward my friend!
