ROFL! I also have a goodly amount from my various hair brushes. I know it's weird, but I don't throw it away.
I know a longhair couple in San Francisco who save every hair they find around the house and put it in a hairball. Last time I saw it, a few years ago, it was the size of a softball! Weird? Yeah probably, but I kid you not....
Not really any stranger than saving string.... and it doesn't harm anything/one. I am told that it is helpful for birds to use for nesting material if you put it outside. But .... what do you do with yours? Just call it vulgar curiosity.
Some birds think "putting it outside" on the top of my head is good enough. I have twice been unceremoniously plucked by swooping avian critters during spring nest-building season! Perhaps the wild curliness of my hair has been more of a temptation than birds can bear....
Are there any other longhairs out there to have suffered this indignity?
I went to a cajun village in rural Louisiana a few years back - it was a Williamsburg kind of thing - and they had artwork hanging on the walls in some of the homes. The art was weavings in large circles and similar designs, made out of a family member's hair. The weavings were generally mounted on picture frames, and it was the custom that they be retained after the hair owner died or went away, as a rememberance of them.
I had my hair cut last week and have a ponytail that is approximately 14-16 inches long. I heard that there are people who buy hair can someone help me. Please e-mail me if you can help.
I don't throw it away either. I have a victorian hair receiver and every time its full I take it out and save it. I restore dolls and I have used it as stuffing for antique boudoir dolls!!!!!

I am a getting sick of my long hair and I am interested in selling it. I am going to shave my head so I want to sell it all. It goes past my shoulders and it is purely natural. I have never dyed it or highlighted it. If you are interested in buying my hair please email me. Or if anyone knows of a place where I can sell it, that would be great too. Thank You!
