For those interested... a bit over 2 months in, again ;)
2 month update video
It's so impressive how thick your hair is! Even at this length, there's dense coverage of your scalp. Haha, no surprise coming from me, but I think it's cool you'll be cutting the back for a while. I think you'll enjoy the growing out process more by doing that.
Onward!
Jason
Hey Jason, buddy! =)
If there's one thing my hair does excel at, it's being THICK with a capital T!
I even took a little round with the mirror yesterday and closely observed the top and back of my head, no thinning to seen, which is a good thing, at the ripe age of 30 ;)
And yeah, the whole keeping the back short for the first year idea comes from our past conversations, and the fact that my girl really liked some of my pics from a couple of years ago, where I was wearing this style.
Here's a pic of me and my baby sister from 2011, I think I had about 7-8 months worth of hair here.
Hi Raul,
As always your video updates are always a treat to watch but maybe just maybe you should use a teleprompter.LOL.Just joking but I have to agree with Jason as the density of even your short hair is very impressive. In no time you'll have length again which will be most noticeable when you have hair movement as you move your head. It'll be fun watching your updates and also interesting how it grows in with you keeping the back short at first.I think this go around will produce excellent results:)Cheers my friend.

Hi Mark!
Yeah, hehehe... I was a bit disorganized this time around, and it being almost midnight after a long day didn't really help either, but I felt I really needed to put this video out there already :)
I can't wait for all the small changes in my hair now that I am really at it again... it's slowly starting to cover the top of my hears, my sideburn area is getting thicker and thicker by the moment, and really, it's just amazing to see how constant and circular the proccess of hair growth really is :)
I think you are making an excellent comeback! Really lookin good!
Thanks man, I appreciate it!
It's not much, but it's growing! Feels much better than being bald, let me tell you that! ;)
Hi Raul,
I thoroughly enjoyed this video! I must say your hair is coming back strong and thick man! I think that is a good idea to keep the back short. I would be interested to see how it looks as it grows out. I am growing mine out without trims so had to go through the mullet stage.
You just have to stay busy and forget about your hair for a while! Before you know it, you will be surprised with the growth! I know you will be happy you did man! Looking forward to your next video and your longer hair!
Ted
Hi Ted!
I think this just might be a really nice comparison and learning tool for some other inspiring longhairs that are still lurking in the shadows here (and I know there are plenty! I can see you, MUHAHAHAHA).
Comparing my last 10 months of growth vs the ones I am just starting right now, will give a nice insight into how it looks like growing your hair all around (aka mullet phase) vs trimming the back (aka the Jason, hehe), and see what looks and feels better, at least to the individual, yours truly ;)
Kinda' symbolic for me as well, seeing as last time around I started growing it out in November, and this time around in September, though from a perfect bald scalp. It's de-ja-vou all over again here ;)
Hi Raul,
I am just happy that you are back to normal and growing again! No more detours please! Onward and downward from now on man! I am enjoying your journey more than you are!
Ted
And that is the great thing about you, Teddy... that enthusiasm and genuine happiness and joy for other's accomplishments and experiences.. you're one of the good ones, bro :)
Truly appreciated my friend! Sometimes we just have to get outside ourselves and see the big picture. It's a shame we lose our wonder we had as children:) You are so lucky to see that wonder in your job as a teacher! I love teachers!I absolutely wish nothing but the best for you my friend! I just love that photo of your hair on Youtube!
Ted
Looking good; although I do have to say that I loved the dreadlocks that you started last time. Any chance you'll reconsider them again?
Hey Kirk!
I did love my dreads as well for the 4 days I had them, but after the last experience I will definitely not do anything to my hair again, just let it finally grow long long long as I've wanted for the last 2 years now! =)
