Hi i am currently growing out my hair.My hair is about a little more than 1 inch long from all sides. Two years ago i grew my hair for about 8 or 9 months but i cut it all off because it didn't look good.I was going for the Kurt Cobain look. Now i don't want that kind of look.I want to grow it all out.Do you think this is a good choice? How will it look in 8-10 months? And should i get a trim every 2 months to help it look better? Thanks
BTW, i have really dark straight black hair, and my hair grows very fast also more than the average person because of my hormones.
Just grow it. I'd wait at least 24 months to do a trim. Be gentle with it in the meantime.
Trims will only slow you down and lengthen the awkward stage.
Well, first you need to be able to look at least several years into the future in terms of making a plan for your hair.
Then you need to make up your mind that you really want to eventually have long(er) hair despite ANY problems it may cause you.
Then you need to have patience while it does it's thing and grows.
cool that you're growing it out but it shouldn't matter what we think because it isn't our hair.
After one year to 18 months, id get the back and sides trimmed off to be even with the fringe, then not touch it again for a long time.
Do you want hair that looks like heck? Or do you want long, HEALTHY hair? I get trims every 12 weeks. Do you know any women who just let their hair grow without trims?
I included my pic, so you can get the idea that hair will still grow with trims.
