Okay, I guess maybe it's a wig (or something!) but no one can deny it ain't full!
Do Americans actually go to the supermarket looking like that? And yet criticise some men merely for having long hair? A man simply with long hair ain't nothing! :)
Damon
What IS that? A wig, real hair, and a hair bag together? Dunno ... but it is AMAZING! :)

Sigh...the long hair of my dreams.
I just checked out the "People of Walmart" website. There are even other longhair pictures. Never saw that site before. It's pretty hilarious.
Pictures say a thousand words, so sure, Americans always try look their best when shopping just as you see. A lot of dating happens in supermarkets it turns out, and it's magic when these folks in the photos pair up!
Haha! I would actually LOVE to have hair that full! Sadly, I guess it's just a wig. But awesome!
Probably happens here in the UK too. Who needs pubs, clubs and gigs? :)

I just left Wal-Mart a few minutes ago, Damon... I didn't see anybody this wild, but I see a few interesting creatures... so, yes, as much as I hate to admit it, I think these pictures are true... Walmart brings out some interesting people, for sure.
I just checked that website and that is the most disgusting thing I have ever seen .
Reminder: Never go to Wal Mart while visiting the US
Yeah, it's amazing that some people think nothing of going out in public wearing only their pyjamas, underwear or practically nothing at all. Seeing all those body parts is slightly off putting when you're trying to buy food!
Damon
Sometimes people just don't feel like getting all dressed up just to go to the store, especially if they know they're going to be in and out pretty quickly. I myself have even been guilty of wearing pajama pants to the store before. I don't really see how it's that bad tbh :/
But yeah...I get what you guys are saying. I've definitely seen some pretty disheveled/crazy looking people at WalMart.
I've been guilty of that too. There have been times when I would just wear cut off shorts, a shirt, barefoot to run into the store
to get something. There have even been a couple of times when
i'd go into a store wearing only a long shirt, no pants, and no shoes.
Yikes! I hope the shirt was VERY long! :D
Damon

Longer than knee length.
PHEW!!! :D
Damon

Yeah, I should fess up myself. There have been one or two times when I've worn a T-shirt I've slept in and just bunged on tracksuit bottoms over the shorts or pyjama pants I've slept in for a very quick dash over to a store to get something. It's not like I'm going downtown, to work or for a night out. I think most people do that now and then.
But I do make sure none of my private body parts are showing and I'm decent. Some of the people in those pics make no effort to do that and I think it shows a lack of respect for other people (especially children) if they expose themselves in public.

Funny,
I was right outside WalMart when I read this on my cellphone.....
People show up all dressed (or under dressed ) in all kinds of strange ways!
..That website is wild...

I was one of the first longhairs "featured" on People of Walmart, back in 2008. The photo has since been used in the Walmartians video. I'm about 28 seconds in, with two hot chicks playing in my goatee :)
Whoa, fame! I looked up the video and spotted you. Awesome beard!
You and many of the other people in the pics just look imaginative and individual. Some just had artistic hairstyles, tatoos and alternative clothes or were clearly dressed to go on to a costume party or whatever. While others in the pics were genuinely tastelessly underdressed. But I guess they just bunged in all the pics together to flesh out the video.
There is a big danger in compiling a video (or website) of candid pics of people just because they don't fit in with what society regards as "normal". It easily descends into ridicule. As an "alternative" person myself - with long hair and a somewhat unusual dress sense occasionally - I don't condone that.
But the hair in the pics I selected to post just amazed me. I'm not judging, just amazed! :)
Damon
You're right. They put in pictures of people who look genuinely awful, but some contributors think it's a forum to ridicule anyone who looks different from them (like us, for example), and it becomes a race to the bottom.
Damon,
I think his sheepskin car seatcover got stuck to the back of his head! lol

Sadly, (as I'm sure you've seen on that website) the answer is yes . Why many people go to Walmart (and out in public in general) wearing too little, or something crazy like this I'll never understand!
