Sorry i don't post much but figured I would give an update. My hair is still growing well, though I probably won't go too much longer as it is between my shoulder blades at the longest and I can't have it too long for practical reasons.
On a separate note my son who is 13 has decided to go for long hair as well. He has had the mopey hair cut that many kids have, but recently had been putting off trimming and finally announced he's going to grow it too maybe two months ago. He's off to a nice start.
Here's a picture of his "ponytail" which only includes about half of his hair, but he's taken to wearing it that way.

Thanx for posting.... It is really cool that he is allowed to grow his hair..., I hope the school does not have issues with it.
