For the color, were you always a redhead?

Not a 'true' redhead, Chris; I don't have the complexion and the eyes. I think I have some dark-skinned Sephardi in my blood. But my hair was red at birth although it darkened over time before lightening a bit in my 40's.

I took some selfies this morning because i thought my hair looked good - but as I looked at the picture, i wasn't so sure... I am working on my 1 year anniversary - so, get ready for the update coming in from me soon...

Fitz, it's been creeping downward for five and a half years since I retired from the Air Force, but I've been cutting it during that time. I didn't wake up one morning with a buzzcut and say, 'That's it, I'm going long' and swear off haircuts. Actually, the latter happened about a year ago, when I let a friend of my wife give me 'just a trim' that took off about six months' growth. I looked at myself in the mirror the next day and say to myself, 'That's it. I'm not letting anybody touch my hair unless I REALLY trust them!' (My hair was collar length that day, now it's somewhere between shoulder and mid-back.) Fortunately, my hair grows rather fast! Anyway, thanks for your kind comments and, as Ted likes to say, "Keep it growing and flowing!"
Definitely thick, Don, and the color goes well with your complexion, too!

Thank you, Bill...although from a bottle, the colour is close to what I sported before starting to go grey.
Please be advised Don. You would look just fine with gray hair my friend!

Thank you, Ted! I've actually thought about going grey now, except for two things. One, the only way to do it is to cut it off and start afresh. And two, I may be looking for a job again in half a year or so...they can't legally ask your age, but they can see grey hair!

Thank you for this great update my friend! I consider you my "brother in hair" because you and I seem to have very similar hair types. I just love your color and how your hair sits at your shoulders! You are certainly doing a wonderful job growing! I can see why you were in the mood to take selfies! Onward and downward we go!
