.....with swords, and bows and arrows...
gotta love it...
THe Spaf Man
So beyond all the long hair how would you rate the movie?
Would you give it a thumbs up?
.............well....for the Hobbit fan...yes.....lots of action....lots of fun....
..but still it ended abruptly.... lots of questions hanging until next year......

I may need to go see it. Although I've been a Tolkein fan since I was 10, I've been wary of The Hobbit being split into three movies, which just strikes me as exploiting the fan base.
Still, long hair swords bows and arrows gotta love that!
Chris
Yes it may be exploiting the fan base but the first Hobbit movie was much better than many of the movies at the theater now.
I'd rather they make three Hobbit movies instead of crap like
Anchorman 2, etc.
Many of the movies released now adays appeal to 18 year olds.
Now that i'm 59 years old i don't appreciate films aimed at 18
year olds. And right now the Hobbit is the only movie out that
appeals to me. So to the studio I say exploit away.
When you say the first movie do you mean the original cartoon of the Hobbit, or just part 1 of the new trilogy? I have seen the cartoon, but could not persuade any of my family that we should see the new version. I think now I may wait for the boxed set!
The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (Part 1 of the trilogy from Peter Jackson.)
But then i'm also enjoying the Hobbit movies.
(It was originally supposed to be two films, the studio wanted
three Hobbit films.)
