Last posted on 12/4/13 looks like 2" growth in 3 weeks. Anyone heard of hair growing this fast??? Picture on left is today, on right is Dec 4
Considering hair usually grows at 1/2 inch per month consider yourself lucky.
Always keep your head at the same angle when you are measuring the back.
What have you been eating!
Most likely a fluke, or your head is tilted backwards.
If it grows another 5 cm in another 3 weeks, you should get a cheek swab ;)
I'm pretty sure I did have my head at the same angle. Thant's why I put on the same shirt. What did I eat you ask? Actually I have foot pain and numbness (Not diabetic) and have been to several doctors for relief. I gave up on the doctors and scoured the internet looking for anything that might help. I found a site that said Biotin can sometimes be helpful for neuropathy, so I tried it. Been on it for about 6 weeks and about 4 weeks ago upped the dose to 5000mcg. It is helping quite a bit with the foot pain and also appears to be making my hair grow faster.
I'm not a doctor nor do I play one on TV but I'd mention that
my wife is Diabetic and suffers from neuropathy. Her mother did
too. Basically there is very little they can do to treat
neuropathy. My wifes mother (my mother in law) had neuropathy
so bad that she had to have a number of toes removed.
Beware of anyone who claims they can treat it or cure it. They
can't. There is very little they can do.
My mother in law had two 12 hour plus operations to improved
circulation to the feet, it didn't help and she still had to have
a number of toes removed. She died about ten years ago.
She had one of the top surgeons around here but there ulitmately was nothing they could do for her neuropathy.
That's what the doctors told me as well. Fortunately I don't have diabetic neuropathy. Since I've been taking the Biotin the pain in my feet has improved, not a miracle cure, but improved. I didn't take the biotin for a couple days and the pain came back, so I am confident it is helping. It probably won't be helpful for everyone but it helps me. I also get the side affect of my hair growing a little faster so I'm happy.
That is pretty impressive.... I am growing super slow... (about 4 years since hair cut in avatar pic) the vitimins I take only have 50 mcg of biotin.... I will gladly up that....does anyone know if anything could happen by taking too much?

... can sometimes cause skin blemishes (mild acne). Most adults can easily handle 1000-2000 mcg (that's MICROgrams, not mg/MILLIgrams) daily, and will benefit in terms of decreased hair shedding, improved hair (and nail) health, and slightly increased hair growth rate. It is water soluble, so any excess should get flushed out of the system via urination; just make sure to keep well-hydrated. Unless otherwise directed by a medical care provider, I wouldn't recommend exceeding 5000 mcg as a daily dose.

Thanks Val, I don't know if you will see this....
I bought 5000 MCG to take along with the other vitmins I take, that have 50 MCG in....I left a message on doctor's voicemail...I really wanted to take this, but maybe I will have to do a lesser dose..
Thanks for posting, sorry I missed it!

Well, it depends on the position you put your head at the moment of the picture and it also depends on how you brushed your hair.
And yes, Biotin is the number one vitamin to help your hair grow faster. So keep on taking it and you will get some awesome growth rates.
