  Since so many other lurkers are popping out of the wood work, I figured I would, too. My name is Lucian, and I've been growing my hair for 7 years (but have trimmed it all that time, which is why it's not crazy long).

    Welcome to the board and I am glad you came out of lurkdom! I must say your hair is looking awesome man! I just love the color and texture you have! I am truly inspired to keep growing mine that's for sure! Did your hair take a while to lay flat so nice like that? Did it ever kind of stick out at the sides when you were at about shoulder length? Please keep it growing and flowing!

    Greetings, Lucian. Your hair looks very well cared for. It would probably be mid thigh length if you did no trims. (Mine reaches my knees.) If you want maximum length, just avoid all unnecessary trimming. Often just 1/4" every few months is enough to remove damage. Damage can be felt. Feel the ends. If they feel rough to the touch, there is probably damage.
