Here is my New Year's Day update. It's onward and downward from here!

Here is the front view which I always hate. My hair looks terrible from the front since it always wants to be back behind my ears.

Congratulations and how exciting to have reached this major milestone. I am thrilled for you! Now the fun "really" begins and things seem to get easier. Once the hair clears the shoulders what a relief. You have worked and waited so long for this, and now all of that patience has paid-off. Bravo!

Thanks so much for your kind compliments my friend! I have to agree with you! I am very happy with the way my hair is starting to sit better. And I still need another good 4 inches or so to really clear the shoulders.
Believe it or not, I am still watching your videos and enjoying them! I sure do wish you still had your wonderful long hair though! I figure by this time next year I will have made mid-back length. So another 2 years or so to my first goal of waist length. I am definitely having much fun on this journey!

Thanks so much for your very kind comments my friend! It is pretty cool to have to be brushing it out of my face! I am definitely loving my hair more and more as it gets longer! By the way, I often tuck my hair behind my ears - I probably will even when it gets longer. Every day is a new experience for us journeymen, eh?

Lookin' good! As it grows you can train it to fall where you want it. If it wants to fall behind your ears, at least it stays out of your food, right? :-)

As far as it staying out of food, I can't really guarantee that:) But it is starting to kind of stay behind the shoulders better now.

Fantastic hair, ted. The color is so rch and I love the wave. You have fantastic hair and yes, you are definitely past the awkward stage. Ready to tail it? It is great keeping up with ypur profress and seeing the continued growth. My own hair is well beyond mid back and though it is not necessarily a goal, I have resisted trims and may well make it to Waist length. and by the way,Happy new year.

I do really appreciate the very kind words my friend! I must say I am beginning to enjoy the amount of wave I have! The color is interesting, to say the least! But it works for me! Yes, I can tail it. However, I much prefer to wear it loose most of the time. Once it gets sufficiently past my shoulders, I will probably never tail it. There's just something about hair that is flowing gracefully.
I have always enjoyed your pic updates too! Your hair is looking awesome I must say! I do hope you let it grow to waist length! I look forward to seeing that!

Thanks so much for your very kind comments my friend! Yes, there is a big difference between the avatar and current photos! I keep forgetting to compare them! I must say that yes my hair is very full and I sometimes hate it! I sure do appreciate you being happy for my progress! I will definitely keep growing-I need to get to at least waist length. Hopefully with very little taper at the ends. We shall see.

Looking awesome Ted. I can totally see the difference and progress when I compare this pic to your avatar pic.
From now on, the hair growth will be kinda boring (at least that's what I am experiencing right now). Since my hair is already long and past my shoulders (it almost touches my nipples) , I can see the progress but its not like when I was short-haired that I used to see a huge difference haha.

I don't really mind the growth being boring as long as it keeps growing! The progress may be harder to see, but at least you're past the crazy awkward stage! It's a tradeoff I guess. My hair still likes to act crazy though. I just deal with it and laugh. Once I grow out these damn layers things will be much better! All one length hair is so much better looking in my opinion.

Thanks so much for your very nice remarks my friend! It is nice to get past the shoulders! Seems like that is the hardest point to get to! I still have some way to go in the front though. The layers just take so long to grow out. I think once I get to all one length things should be a lot better.

In my opinion, this is past schoulder-length and it truly shows your progress. It gets better and better. Also, when do you intend to cut it all to one length, like you said you wanted to?

Thanks so much for your very nice comments my friend! Most of my hair is past shoulder length. The sides still have some more to get there. When I get all of it past shoulder I will probably get it trimmed even. I think one side is a little bit longer, but not really sure. I do like the straight across look. I only want to take off about 1 inch or so to make the ends even if possible. I am happy with the progress so far. By the way, I do really like your hair!

I am frequently putting my hair behind my ears, because its always falling into my eyes or my mouth, at least you don't seem to have that problem! Your length is very impressive! Hopefully you can look back at a few months ago and see a difference. If your having trouble seeing progress, one thing I've seen many women do on some hair forums is take T-shirt and mark it with lines, then they wear that shirt each time they take pictures to help them measure. Seems to work pretty well for them...

Thanks so much for your very kind words my friend! Believe it or not, I do have to keep brushing my hair out of my mouth! I can get it to stay behind my ears somewhat. I think I need some more length and then it will stay better.
I know I'm making progress. I think the layers growing out in the back are making it difficult to see. I do have a gray shirt with a screen printed design on the back. Next update I will try to remember to use it in the pic.
