Hello out there, I am Christian in Germany and decided finally to "de-lurk".
My hair isn't long at the moment but i will (hopefully) newer cut it again.
Welcome to the other side, Christian. It's good to meet a fellow "short-haired" long hair on the journey...
Fitzgarce
Thanks for the welcoming and I forgot to whish everyone a happy new year, sorry.
Excellent, a fellow german on the hyperboard. You have pretty awesome looking hair. It will definitly look awesome once it has reached at least shoulder-length.
Viel Spaß beim Haare wachsen.
Thanks and i am curious cause sometimes when I wake up I look like Einstein in that stage.
Einstein was a very cool guy - embrace it
Yes he was, it just looks funny.
If it happens again i try to take a photo.
my hair is doing the "einstein" today... static electricity.
A female co-worker just told me to use dryer sheets to control this problem... never heard that before.
Thanks I'll try it next time and I think I got it from my mother but I think it disappears when the hair gets long enough.
Hi Christian, thanks for posting and welcome to MLHH!
I wish you well on your long hair journey -
Happy New Year! - The Spaf Man
Thanks and best wishes to you too.
Hi Christian,
Welcome to the board my friend! You have definitely come to the right place if you want to grow your hair! I do believe your hair will look awesome at longer lengths! What is your goal length? I think mid-back length would look great! Please keep it growing and flowing! Be well my friend!
Ted
Thank you for the welcomming, I tried to grow them out a fiew years ago but I failed horribly.
I wanted stright hair and I had a goal and I had somewhat androgynous features, no beard, the social pressure and and and,
but now my personality has improved alot so I enjoy every stage and let it grow to the max because I can allways cut them (a little bit shorter) but never EVER short hair again.
All the best for your hair growth journey
Thank you and best wishes back.
Welcome! Looks like you are off to a good start. As I'm sure you know, this is a great place for advice, support, and to share the milestones you go through as your hair grows.
Chris
Thank you, 8 months and still at the beginning but its a journey and its worth it.
You have strong features, Christian, and the wave in your hair does and will continue to frame your face handsomely. Keep the faith. You have beautiful hair.
Thank you, I am waiting patiently and observing the differences.
P.S. You got a nice head of hair yourself.
Hi Christian.
Welcome to the board. Let me tell you that you have a lot of potential there.
I can already imagine your hair once it gets longer -and I am sure it will be something like the photo I posted here (which looks AMAZING to me).
Please, dont cut it and ask for any help here on the board.
Cheers from Argentina.
Thanks, the photo is amazing but only time will tell.
Since it is my second time i don't want to make the same mistakes and I know for sure I will regret cutting it short again.
Greetings from Australia, Welcome to the boards :) you're already well ahead of me haha
How is Germany? I have always wanted to live in Europe somewhere
Greetings back.
Changing the country you live in is allways difficult but we have a Shortage of skilled labor so chances are good.
I live in the countryside (former countryside) mostly old people, idyllic, lots of vintage cars and engineers everywhere.
Best whishes for your own journey and keep your eye on target because your hair will have a mind on its own.
After 8 months I am still not through the awkward stage.
Hope there will be room for more engineers there :) I'm doing mechanical engineering. I'm interested in oil or automotive I reckon it would be amazing to work for Porsche or BMW. My hair has only been growing out for about 3 months
Funny, I am studying engineering and I would like to work for Mercedes Benz.
So a suit wearing long haired engineer ..... why not.
Absolutely Christian! I agree!
Ted
Haha! Awesome we got so many engineers here! We'll all look like Loki in suits :D
Welcome to the board! It looks like you have a very good start
with your hair. It sounds like you live in a very nice part of
Germany. I like countryside type living, which is where I am
in the USA. Also an engineer haha.
Thank you, countryside in USA very nice hopefully not so rainy.
Welcome Christian in Germany.
Bruce
Thanks for the welcoming.
Hello ChristianN and welcome! Looks like you've already made a ton of progress! I would encourage you to document with photos/videos if for no other reason that for yourself. It's very encouraging to look back 3 or 4 months ago and see all the progress at this stage when you have one of those feelings like your not getting anywhere (I get them every few weeks or so).
I think your hair looks like it will be pretty thick and full of character, and I'm looking forward to see the actual results. My hair is thick and can be tough to manage some days...especially in the winter with all the static electricity!
-Tommy
Thank you, I will definitely document the progress because it gets wavier every day so it feels as if it would never gain length.
Freshly washed it is extremely thick and hard to tame.
