Hey Guys -
Now that my hair is about long enough to pull back, I don't know what I'm supposed to do with this neck fuzz I've got - it is different kind of hair from my head - kind of kinky and it does not grow as long as the rest of my hair on my neck line -
Any advice?
Hi Fitz,
I am having the same issue. It seems my hair grows more on one side than the other. So, I am thinking of shaving those unwanted hairs to make it look neat. Of course, what you do is your preference. At least you're making progress though!

I cut mine, but then I have an undercut so it kinda goes with the
style. Its up to each individual but I don't think it hurts to
cut them. Just those hairs though.
Shave it.
I have the same problem, one side grows more than other, and it isn't easy to deal with in the mirror...
With it being so cold out I haven't been tailing lately, but I have to deal with soon...
Good Deal that you can pull it back!...Keep Growin!...

I don't do anything with the neck hairs.
I never cut it.
I shave them when they get to be a nuisance. But I am not religious about it. They are among the hairs that still have some color aleit it a strawberry blond. as more and more hair turns white I do not want to discourage any remaining color.
Neck hair annoys me against the collared shirts I have to wear at work, so I shave then.
If you decide to do this, whether you learn to do it yourself or have someone else do it, remember to draw the razor *up* from the bottom *to* the hairline you wish to establish.
Doing it the other way--establishing a hairline then drawing the razor down from it--will inevitably cut short some of the hair above that you intend to grow out.
Thank you, my neighbor down the Thruway a bit, Bruce, especially, for your advise... I appreciate it...
Hi Fitzgarce,
When I used to get maintenance trims I would have the stylist shave off those offending hairs you speak of but since
I don't get my hair trimmed anymore I just leave them alone.I agree that if you tail your hair those shorties can look a little sloppy but if they are light in color then they are less noticeable.Really its up to your how you feel about having them and its fine to shave them off if you would rather neaten up that area.Cheers.

When I had hair that was long enough to tail, I would have it trimmed for me, I didn't do it myself because I didn't trust my dexterity working behind and with a mirror. A razor will work but in my experience one of those finishing trimmers used for beards makes the job easier.
I do think trimming the neck and also where the sideburns meet the inside top of the ear helps with the overall impression of neatness, but of course to each his own.

Hey Guys -
Just want to say thanks for the advice and feedback... I decided to ask my wife to shave off the neck hairs - it feels a lot better, surprisingly... and I am glad I did it...
