To actors, hair is another prop or costume not a feature of their choosing necessarily.
maybe so, but you don't acheive this length overnight... yeah, he may change his hairstyle if required to do so for another roll, but exposure to the mass media is a good thing, in my view.
Besides, we all have different reasons for what we do.
Celebrities are treated like a different species while people are laughing about dudes with long or even longer hair they are completely o.k with celebrities with long hair.
