does one of these exist? buzz cuts r seen usually as being for guys, long hair for girls. this board exists so surely there is a girls buzz board too... i can think of several female movie stars who have at some point done a movie with a shaved head.
Well keep searching, Mark. This place isn't for you. It's obvious you are just trying to stir things up. Long hair isn't a male or female thing. Grow up. It's a personal prefrence. Where does your form of ignorance reign?
i would apoligise but i dont think i am in the wrong. i never said it was anything but a personal preference. you are right, long hair isnt a male or female thing. but it still seems to be that long hair is seen by quite a few people to be for girls. if this is not the case then why is there so many posts about 'reactions from others' , 'societies views' and 'prejidice against long haired guys'?
i was wondering if things we encounted; reactions, societies views and prejidices were the same for girls with buzzes as they are guys with long hair. wot is ignorant about that? surely that is the complete opisite of ignorance?
id also like to know if anyone else had a problem with wot i previously said.
.....hmmmmmm, I think what you are saying is true to an extent.
Senead O'Connor(sp) had a buzz cut many years ago and created a bit of a sensation.
So, yes, girls with extremely short hair might even be more noticeable than a long-haired guy.
But having said that....I've lost the point
exactly, she even recorded a video for one of the greatest ever love songs with one.
That song was, "Nothing Compares To You." Those were real tears, you know.
....O, yeah, I Luv that one...
Came out like..ummmmm...was it 12 years ago? Cause I was
in love at the time and remember it well!
Here is a link to a page with the lyrics and a midi playing the songs instrumental. Check it out.

THANKS...TREYN!!!!!!!!! Really appreciate it!!!
I honestly seen nothing wrong in your inquery. Actually, I thought it rather interesting about the other end the "extreme". People on this board need to lighten up and stop assuming someone is bashing the male longhair indeavor with such questions. Show an interest or don't follow up the post at all. Longhair gives me a confedence, not insecurity, which seems to be the real issue here, right? Your point was well made, dude.
Hmm..I feel that I have more confidence too now that my hair is a bit long. Much more confident than when I had short hair- I think it's because I feel more like myself.
I think Mark's query is perfectly valid. Society being what it is, people do tend to stereotype, and it would be interesting to know if girls are subject to the same.
An aside - we have had many posts re. whether or not the Bible permits long hair for men. I am one of a number of evangelical Christians who had disagreed with the view that the Bible forbids it. It might however be interesting to note that the very passage that is often (mis)quoted (from 1 Corinthians 11) talks about not having short hair for women, which is happily ignored. I myself was once criticised for having long hair by a certain person, whose wife has a very short haircut!!!
Try www.haircut.net it is devoted to short haired and shaved women. There's no board there though.
