Hey good people of the MLHH!
Today while at work at the kindergarten, a female colleague of mine offered to braid my (very much short) hair, and I wanted to share the result with you!
It's mostly just a joke, but I am rather interested in the method of doing this, and whether any of you have experience with it.
When asked how does she make it "stick", she went on to explain that she braids the semi-short hair in such a way that the next "gauntlet" or bunch of hair to be braided sort of holds the prior on in place, even without having the length a classic braid will have.
Mid you, my hair is still only at around 2.5" long, so this is really impressive to me :)
Looks cool!
I agree- it does look cool... I can't do a braid to save my life. She knows what she's doing.
Looks great--interesting style.
Wow Raul
That is really neat! Thanks for sharing and I think the Braiding looks cool! :-)

Braids is one of the many reasons I'm looking forward to long hair. If you're looking to recreate this, the best resource is Youtube with instructional videos or even search various Game of Thrones how-to's. That particular you have is a "lace braid." A lot of styles for women can be pulled off by men, esp if done messily.
Hi Raul,
Your friend did a wonderful job of braiding your hair! I have no experience braiding my hair yet. I may have to try braiding when I get more length. Very nice pic and I thank you for sharing! Please be well my friend!

I like it, too. I can't wait till mine gets to where I can braid it.

Raul,
This is impressive to me as well.
I would really like to start wearing my hair in that sort of braid on the weekends, and as it's about 2 inches longer than yours, I think I could make a go of it. I have to admit after I say your post I did some searching to try to find a tutorial on how to braid hair that is as short as yours. I found nothing.
If at all possible, do you think you could ask your colleague to make a quick video or take a few pics of the process so we can understand how she did it? I think this would be a welcomed option to many of our fellow "awkward stage" brethren. lol
If not, that's OK. I just wanted to ask.
That's cool, I'll bet the kids liked it!
Have fun.... The Spaf Man
Raul,
That style looks great on you and your colleague certainly has the skills for braiding. I attempted such styles even will hair twice as long to no avail, haha.
You are well on your way to long hair again.

Looks really good Raul. The braid is a french braid. It's something hat you can do yourself with enough practice.
