For those that use hair ties, how many times do you have to redo your tail a day?
I typically retie my hair about three or four times a day.
This is me at the one year mark. (Also, my beard grows REALLY slowly and thinly...)
I'll usually redo mine once daily when I get out of bed.
Be patient with the beard - give it time!

But your mileage may vary depending on length and texture.

I don't put my hair in a ponytail very often. But, if I loop it around 3 times, I usually don't have to redo it. But my hair is more coarse and thick than your hair.

The longer your hair gets, the more infrequently you'll find it necessary to have to re-tie it ("usually", that is -- on a windy day, for example, that might be a different story!)...
Occasionally I decide to re-tie or re-bun my hair an additional one or 2 times during the day; but normally if I do a good job of it early in the morning, it can last until I decide to completely remove the hair-tie by the time evening comes around; but it can all depend upon many different factors, so no worries if this is what you have to do for now.
