I know I've mentioned this before...but my hair is a lot longer than last year and hoping some of the newer folks may have some ideas too...
I got my motorcycle up and running last night (it's been 3 weeks since the last snowstorm so I hope I'm good!) and went for a short ride. With my helmet on, there is still a lot of hair coming out of it, and when driving down the road it was flying all around my neck. It was actually sort of painful at highway speeds. This got me thinking that surely this could damage my ends... I was thinking I could pull it back but when I do that it doesn't really fit inside my helmet. Perhaps I need to get a bigger helmet? I'm not really sure. I'll try to take a pic so you can see too.
Tail it.
Looks like you have just enough length to do that. Do a low tail, tied just below the helmet.
As it grows out, segment the tail--that is, use multiple ties spaced every couple of inches.
Alternatively, braid(s).
I have my wife braid mine before I ride
I haven't ridden a motorcycle (Suzuki T200) for about 35 years, but I had about the amount of hair I have now. It all went into my crash helmet, but it was much less high-tech than now.
Do be safe on the road and don't go too fast! I see quite a lot of advice about multiple hair bands or a kind of sleeve. You could also ponytail and stuff it down the back of your coat and find some way of stopping the wind from pulling it out.
What kind of bike have you got?

Thanks for the tips guys, I didn't eve think of braids, I will have to give that a shot!
I've got a 1991 Kawasaki Ninja 600R. This isn't my bike, but I found this pic on google and it looks identical.
That's some machine! I'm sure you are an experienced rider, but I will say it - be careful and safe.

You need to grow it longer, LOL!
Then it will stay inside your jacket, even without a ponytail band.
I used to wear a scarf (in summer a faux silk scarf) around my neck to help keep my hair under my jacket.
PS: My last bike was a Suzuki GT 750 Le Mans. As General MacArthur said - I will return!
Hi Tommy,
I haven't ridden a motorcycle since I had my Kawasaki 125 dirt bike in the 80s. And back then my hair was "normal" length. But I am very happy you got that bike back up and can enjoy it! Those ninjas are badass man! Hope some of our guys here can offer good ideas for you to wear your hair while riding. Please be careful on the road my friend!
