I have hair 7 inches below my shoulders ,, it got caught in the car door , when I closed it ,,, SOB,,lol ,, I always wear it loose ,,,,
I'm learning so much from people's experience. Burning it! Catching it in car doors! Getting it caught in tools! So many painful and dangerous things...
I have the impression that when I really get some length, I'll be letting it down to relax in the evening and tie it up most of the day, definitely while driving or doing manual work.
OK for now - I'm still "awkward stage" (the back of my hair just touches my shoulders without tipping my head back.
Keep it growing - but above all keep safe!

My blog
My hair is about 5 inches above waist length, I usually wear it down most of the time. I've gotten it caught in the car door a few times, Luckily I was careful, and the hair got no damage. The key is to open the door to remove the hair, don't pull on the hair.
I'm usually careful to avoid damaging situations, when i'm using machinery, or when it is very windy i'l tie the hair in a pony tail/braid it/bun it/pig tail it. I love having my hair down and loose, but I also hate damage to the hair.
Even during the day when i'm at work my hair is still down and
loose.
but all in all, its still fun ! and seperates us from them , dare to be different !
Hi edm,
Yea that's the pitfalls of having longhair but still its worth the trouble in my opinion;)Just be careful and protect your hair my friend.I like loose hair too but sometimes you just gotta tie it back.Cheers
