Hey Bros,
I have been allowing my hair to grow freely. It has been thirty-eight (38) months since my last haircut. My hair should be nineteen (19) inches long. My hair is now reaching past my collar bone. I'm glad for my long hair. I tie it back in a ponytail and stick the ponytail under the back of my collar in order to look professional. However, when I can go casual I like to let my hair go free. I thought that my hair would be longer by this time; at least armpit length. There are still some strands of my bangs which are not quite long enough to reach to the back of my head in order to get caught in the tie which forms my ponytail. Is there anything I can do to enhance my hair's growth?
Raymond
average growth per year is 6 inches. You are just past 3 years and Exactly at the norm. No way to enhance really.

Hey sj,
Thanks for your reply and for the words of encouragement.

Hello Raymond,
Glad to hear that your still sticking it out.
My two cents: I would not put my hair under the collar as it is likely to increase breakage (and if your hair is of a fine texture makes it more susceptible to damage). I have been wearing my hair in segmented ponytail at times when it is good to keep under control and greatly cuts down on breakage. Also applying plenty of conditioner to the ends helps well too.
Another thing is that age works against hair growth speeed and it often slows down. I think your making good progress. Have patience and enjoy what God gives you.
Best,
Duncan
hey Raymond....
Hope you're not still getting "static" from the "higher ups" regarding your long hair. It looks great....
