Hi all, just a quick update, have been lurking around here with
short hair since December 2012, watching all the updates and people come and go. I feel like I'm at an AA meeting, my name is matt and I cut my long hair he he he...
Anyways today it's been something like 7 months since my last short haircut, so I just had the back "mullet" trimmed and it's getting closer to being all one length again, how I prefer it. Not sure how long I will grow it this time but giving it another go. Getting older and the front is getting thinner, as the hairdresser "kindly" also pointed out today for the first time ever - before slugging me $32 bucks for 10 mins work. So it's not just my imagination any more. Oh well I can always take up knitting or something if I go bald.
I'm going to be a little bit less OCD about documenting the growing this time (my 4TH attempt in 10 years, and some of you may remember my constant annoying almost weekly posts) so I'll post something some months down the track, if I don't cave in and cut again!
Take care all!
MattT
Here's the back. It is pretty short in back now but will grow fast.
So thick and luxurious.
Thanks Benny!
Hi Matt,
It looks like it's coming along well. If your avatar pic is any guide, your hair is going to look sensational when you get it really long again.
Thanks,
Chris
Thanks Chris, yep if I leave it grow for about 2 more years it should get that long again, will see how I go this time round
Take care,
MattT
Good job, MattT!
I have a feeling that this time, you will stick it out, and not only reach your former glory, but even surpass it!
Remember, it's only us who have failed and failed again, that know exactly how precious each and every little inch is, and will cherish it like it's gold ;)
Looking great! Keep at it!
Thanks Raul! Hope we can both stick to just letting our hair grow
for a bit now :)

I don't see the hair-thinning problem that you mention, Matt; but on the other hand, I think it happens to all of us (or at least ALMOST all of us) to some degree, especially as we age.... and the "alternative" to getting older is not worth considering (LOL)!
Over the years, my hairline has gradually receded a bit (it used to go straight across my forehead, but now indents at the temples); but it's not enough to bother me too seriously, and definitely not enough to stop me from growing and keeping my hair long. A "professional" hair stylist might recommend to me that if I had shorter bangs in front (AKA "fringe"), my receding hairline wouldn't be noticeable; but I'd be miserable, so of course choose NOT to go shorter.
Good luck on your long hair journey this time around, I hope you keep it!

Thanks Ken, yes it's gradually receding at the temples, but you're right it's not worth stopping growing for that. On the plus side and from being inspired by your recent post, I present a picture of my elbow length hair!
Take care,
MattT
Goodluck, though it seems you know what you are getting into. Your hair look real thick in your avatar, kind of like mine. Sure it will look awesome in a year or two!
Thanks Josh, your hair is looking great from your profile!

Hi Matt,
Thanks for the check-in! I always wonder what our members are up to when they don't post for a while. I admire your thick, beautiful long hair! The color is just fantastic too! I am dismayed to hear you cut it and sure hope you grow it back! I do look forward to your future updates. Please be well my friend and keep it growing!
