Hi folks!
Today marks 20 years since my last trim. As most of you know, I have had MPB for many years, so my length isn't great, but 20 years is a long time.
And I am still enjoying the journey.

Thanks for your words of support - much appreciated. Keep on enjoying!
I am brought to think of the Parable of the Talents. One servant had five talents and doubled his master's money. The second servant had two and doubled the investment. He was just as rewarded as the one with five talents. The servant who had just one hid it and didn't invest it to make another talent, and the master was very angry.
The one-talent servant could have been rewarded like the two others. This is your case. Life has left you with little hair, but you have made the most of it.
"Well done, thou good and faithful servant!"

Thanks - yes, that parable works rather well. I shall think of myself as a faithful servant! Keep up the good work.
20 years is indeed a long time, so my hearty CONGRATS to you!!
When I was much younger, I tried several times to grow my hair long, caving into getting a haircut each time I couldn't endure the "awkward stage" -- although at least I could say that my hair had reached a "long-ISH" length many times during my 20s and early 30s.
By my late 30s I tried once again to grow it out; but was self-conscious about the fact that my hairline in front had receded a bit from the fuller hairline of my youth. On my 40th birthday, in July of 1993, I tied my hair back into my first ponytail.
If you and I (as well as many others) had listened and obeyed the "Fashion Police", we would never have had the joy of having our hair long, and it would still be depressingly short to this very day today. What I learned to say to myself over the years is this: "Ken, your hairline will be the same either way; so why not just go ahead and grow it out long, which will make you happier than feeling stuck with this damn ugly short style?"
Obviously you must have said something similar to yourself as well, which I greatly admire you for doing! None of us can control our genetics or the aging process, and the results that happen over time to our hair; but we still have the power to make choices in our lives that will make us either happy or miserable -- so again, a big CONGRATS to you for making the happier choice!
- Ken
Many thanks for a long and well considered reply,
My journey is very similar to yours. I was 39 when I decided never to cut again, so you weill have a good idea where I'm coming from. Thank you!
Thanks for sharing! That is a nice tail...
I know one day that will be all I have left too....
BUT the journey continues...
Take Care.... The Spaf Man
Thanks for your message - and good luck with the rest of your journey!
Hi bte,
You must be commended for accepting the MPB and working with it! Your tail is noteworthy and I love the color! There is a lot to be said for your dedication to having long hair. I am inspired to keep growing! Please keep it growing and stay well my friend!
Ted
Thank you - your support encourages me to go on to 25 - 30 - more years!
And if I can still inspire others, that is in itself a boost. Good luck and happy growing!
Congratulations on your achievement.
Thanks and good growing!
