A couple of days ago I went on a bike trip in the local woods here in my town of Fredrikstad, in order to test out my new baby, a Nikon D5200 DSRL.
I absolutely love being there, as it's not more than a few kilometers (again, European, sorry!) outside the area that's considered 'downtown', and yet, it's completely green and filled with lakes and woods!
Here's a pic of the curls starting to show, at soon to be 10 months of growth :)
Great pic!! And to my eyes, even more enjoyable because of being in black & white -- it feels like art, rather than just an ordinary photo.
Similar to your hometown in Norway, there are parts of San Francisco that can feel like thousands of miles away from any big city, especially some of the rockier and more rugged sections of the Pacific coastline --and yet after a short hike back in the direction of civilization, then lo & behold, you know you're back in the city again.
Thanks for the nice post!

Thank you, Ken!
Would love to see more pics of the SF bay "wilderness" areas as well, if and when you should end up on another hiking trip :)
Here's a pic taken today, while documenting the local folk festival here in my town.
These two guys who were looking very much spanish-portuguese, were "selling" people teporary tattoos.
Of course that when I crossed by with my DSRL, they asked about my tattoos and I told them that as long as they're happy and the people are happy with the result, well, so be it :)
I then proceeded to snap a picture of them before leaving!
Hey, at least it's some long hair related picture!

Hi Raul,
You are very fortunate to have such beautiful surroundings to test out your new Nikon! This is a great pic of you as usual! Embrace those curls and let it grow and grow my friend!
