Thanks for the link.
Glad it turned out the way it did.
I can't believe that even here in the Midwest where I live, public schools can make rules about the length of a student's hair.
The school district where I teach has no rules on hair length, but the Catholic high school I attended now has hair length rules that did not exist when I went through.
I was the first male teacher in the district with long hair (grew it years after I was hired). But since then, other male teachers have been hired with long hair.....maybe I helped to set the path...
Thanks again for the URL.
Hi Duncan,
I have often times thought that if the person had perfectly straight hair it wouldn't be a problem. When a curly haired person grows their hair out, it can look unruly. But I am sure happy to see this victory! The guy has wonderful hair! Thanks for posting this!

Sort of a repeat of 2002 and the case of Russell Gorman III and Catholic School in Rhode Island. He finally lost on appeal. Have always wondered what happened after that
Hey Duncan,
Thanks so much for sharing this, it was an uplifting story to read -- and what an awesome head of hair that guy has!!!!
It is so encouraging for me to hear stories like this, as when I was that kid's age, hair rules & regulations for boys were so absurdly rigid, especially in most private religious-based schools.
Also it's so cool to read about this young man's family being so supportive, it's so moving to me to see this kind of progress happening in the world.
Thanks again!!
