That's right, both Dave Grohl and Taylor Hawkins have awesome long hair, and are definitely worh a watch and a listen :)
Have a good saturday ya'll!
Foo Fighters Live at Wemblet Stadium
Hey Raul,
I'm sorry but I went to view that video it said I couldn't because I lived in the wrong country or something.lol.It even gave me one of these to add insult to injury..... :/
Oh well I'm sure the hair was awesome so I'll just use my imagination :) Cheers
Mârk
Damn Mark, that was not fun, hehe...
I wonder if it's restricted to europe or something. Sorry about that!
Hell, we've all seen Dave Grohl. Definitely woof!
Bill
Don't know about woof, but him and the rest of the band in a really emotional "14 years in the band tour" in a great concert in the rain is worth enjoying.
Strange to me that the video is area restricted, but hey, what can I do? It works for me :)
(btw Bill, check my FB page to see if you can or cannot see it there either)
I saw it awhile ago on my page where you had posted it, and it is blocked there, too. YouTube probably looks at the IP number of the viewer requesting the video.
Because Google wants to sell advertising all over the world, they are subject to being bossed around by foreign courts. This means it is not as free as it used to be. Courts here in California are very supportive of "freedom of speech", and they won't go along with foreign court attempts to rein it in, but Google's presence abroad makes them vulnerable to direct foreign court attacks. Facebook and Twitter are both local companies here, but they are having similar problems.
Similarly, these companies are now facing a problem with a European concept of "the right to be forgotten", a concept that would be unconstitutionally unenforceable here.
MLHH is also based in California but has no out of state presence, so it is not subject to attempts to rein in free speech. However, when material is LINKED from another site, that site's rules apply to its distribution, since it never is uploaded to MLHH's server. It is sent directly from the host company's server to the viewer.
Bill
Funny you should mention the "the right to be forgotten", as that is a huge thing here in western europe at the moment, where we have the option to send a request to google in order to have the connection between them and our private pages in social media (such as facebook ,twitter and isntagram) hidden from the public.
The priority here in Scandinavia has always been civil rights and not huge captitalistic companies that controll everything.
To be honest, I am glad we don't have the American constitution standing in our way :)
And regarding the youtube issue, I have met those restrictions SO many times with CBS videos (huge fan of survivor) which I couldn't watch here with a european IP, so I know the feeling :)
Hi Raul,
I agree with Bill's "Woof! assessment -- to my eyes, Dave Grohl not only has an awesome head of hair, but also ain't all that bad-looking, either!
"Woof" might be a term mostly used only in the gay community, much like the reference to a great-looking chick to a strait guy looks, "hot!"
I don't know if straights use it since I don't run with many. What is interesting was that when I was in high school, "woof" when said about girls meant they were ugly (but that was fifty years ago). Nowadays I only hear "woof" spoken about men, and it means they are attractive!
I've heard "hot" applied to men, so I have doubts its use is limited to describing one sex, or only to the gay or straight community.
Bill
Yeah, "hot" tends to be pretty much universally understood nowadays to mean sexy, regardless of person's gender or sexual orientation; but hearing "woof" I've only experienced in the gay community... which for me, personally, hearing that kind of compliment.... Well, let's just say that has been many moons ago now (LOL)!
Certain topics (and whether someone is a turn on is one of them) one only brings up in his own community, so truthfully I have little idea what those in the straight community use, or don't use. That was too long ago.
As for you, Ken, we all know you're woofy! Maybe just not as woofy as Dave Grohl. [wink]
Bill
I have to admit that I was a bit confused when you replied to Raul with a "woof" about Dave Grohl. Raul is straight. I'm not aware of straight men referring to other men with "woof" comments.
I'm not straight.
No difference than you commenting to me that you think a girl is "hot".
Bill
Knowing that you're gay, I wouldn't make a comment to you about a girl being hot.
But you might in a post on MLHH, because posts here are often addressed to the group. The initial thread was addressed to the group. All were invited to view a video. I had said we've ALL seen Dave Grohl. I was not just talking to Raul.
Truthfully, I'm perplexed at why this bothered you. I really doubt it bothered Raul. We say positive things about other longhairs on MLHH all the time. "Woof" is a very mild comment, certainly appropriate for the "age 13 and up" group of men on here. It's not like it's X-rated, you know.
Bill
I'd figured out a while ago the use of "woof", personally, a compliment is a compliment. Of course, every group has its own words, phrases and abbreviations...MLHH is interesting because of the overlap between fairly disparate groups united by long hair...so we get a chance to learn others' words.
"This video is not available in your country. "
Below is one that is not blocked.
Foo Fighters at Wembley
Not quite the same song (The best of you) and not the same quality (480p max) but still, same concert! Thanks LHIA!
