As my hair has grown and has gotten long form every spot on my head, it has taken to not wanting to stay behind my ears if not "tailed" I mean. as soon as I release it, it jumps over my ears. Fine enough for those times I like the feel and look of flowing locks but troublesome if I lean forward in the slightest of angles My hair is straight with only the slightest of waves, and is nearly all a bit longer than mid back in length (My established comfort length, also my "Historic' length) I had forgotten about this issue but I also forgot how people like to run their hands through it (with permission)and remarking on the silkiness. mostly but not always, females. I have used a spritz on windy days to keep it in place, is there anything natural and non greasy to keep the body of my hair from becoming a nuisance when not tied back?
I can see from your picture how your hair avoids the hooks of your ears to stay in place... I think it is a constant thing, to tuck and retuck - my hair does not stay back either. I usually resort to the tie back method. I am noticing in the hot weather, it feels good to tie it back, too.
I can see why there would be a temptation to run hands and fingers through your hair - you have the kind of face that invites such an expression of affection. I would not fight it if I were you.
I have a developmentally disabled person at work that likes to put her fingers in my hair - I let her for a little bit, but try to keep a boundary with her. It is endearing.
Hi Jason,
That's interesting you post this! Since I think we have similar hair types, I have this problem too. But if I let my hair get oily after a few days, it becomes easier to keep it behind my ears. Even then I find the left side is harder to stay behind my ear. That's because of the crazy waves. This is why I sometimes go days without washing my hair with shampoo.
I cannot unfortunately offer any products since I don't like using them. I do think additional length possibly could help, but may be out of the question. I do really like your hair in all respects though! Hopefully someone can enlighten us here my friend! Please be well!
Ted
I guess that's why I resort to pulling mine back in a tail - especially when I am working.
Gee, Ted - it's tough having this as our new "problem" hehheh
Hi Fitz,
Yes, I am also putting mine in a tail more often now. Personally I am looking forward to the "getting stuck in my belt" problem! One of these days!
Ted
I've heard that after "getting it stuck in my belt" comes "keeping it clean when I wipe"!
Bill
TMI, Bill. Yep, Just tailing it does the job.
Heck Bill. I'm even looking forward to that length too! Hehe.
Ted
I've got a friend that has that problem. Yet even though my hair is only reaches down to my belt line, he is envious of my hair. His is straight and mine in wavy.
Daniel
Grow it longer? Eventually it does tend to stay behind your back more (if not always and completely).
As all my hair is finally reaching similar length at mid back, I may well do so, Continue to at least waist length, anyway.
