Hey everybody! :)
So I just got back from a 4 day vacation in London, together with my girlfriend and her 3 boys, and we had a fantastic time together in a city that is very close to my heart!
This time, my 4th time in London (England) was all about introducing the city and it's culture to the kids, so we got to do all the typical tourist attraction things, like the Buckingham Palace, Madame Tussaud's Wax Musem, The London Eye, Hyde Park, Wembley Stadion and more.
Here's a pic to show not only my 1 month old beard, but also my beautiful other half, as we definitely need more beautiful females on this site, and not only Ken's kitty cat! :D
Good to be back home!
Very nice looking couple, Raul. Your beard is looking good, too.
Thanks, buddy! :)
Yeah, she sure makes the beast look a bit better, that beauty ;)
And the beard, I promised on my youtube channel to grow it at least until my 1 year hair anniversary (Sept 17th), which would net me a 3 month old beard, so we will see what's up after that!
Hi Raul,
Very happy to see you're back home safely my friend! I hope you all had a wonderful time visiting the different attractions! Your other half is definitely beautiful and kind of reminds me of the actress Katherine Heigl! And you are looking pretty good yourself! I am so happy you have found your family my friend! On another note, I finally watched your latest Youtube video. I really enjoyed it as usual! And I can't believe Christian Hope's hair! Amazing! Take care buddy!
Ted
Hey buddy!
Thank you, we surely had a wonderful time togehter, and the more time I spend with her, the more in love with her I fall :) I have finally met a good woman in my life who is a perfect match for me, lets hope I can keep her for a while! Hehe.
Glad you liked my latest video on youtube as well, and I completely agree, Christian Hope's hair is nothing but fantastic! And the best part? He has the curliest hair out of all the 100's and 100's of other guys in the youtube growing long hair community, and he has prevailed thanks to his patience and perseverance!
And of course, thank you so much again, and be well, Teddy! =)
Hey Raul,
Thanks for sharing about your vacation in London.
Your beard looks awesome for one (1) month's growth. Your hair looks beautiful for eleven (11) months of growth.
Keep it growing!
Your long haired bro,
Raymond
Hey Raymond!
Thanks for being so kind, my old friend! :)
While the beard is roughly one month, the hair is still only 10 months (one year anniversary on September 17th), but it finally starts feeling as I am back on track after last year's mishap!
Appreciate it, thank you!
I am not surprised to see you looking so good - she brings out the best in you... She is a beautiful lady - congratulations.
Thank you, Fitz... she REALLY REALLY is :)
All the best to you and your loved ones!
Hi Raul!
I'm glad you all had a good trip, and thanks for your great picture....you both look like you are really enjoying yourselves!
Your hair and beard are looking cool...
keep growing and take care!
The Spaf Man
Hi TSM! :)
Appreciate the kind words and compliments, take good care of yourself as well!
Good progress on your hair and beard, and a truly beautiful lady. Congrats on both. :D
Frodo
Thank you, JSFrodo! :)
Hi Raul,
Great looking picture of the two of you in such an historic place!I've never been to London but I'm sure its a cool place to visit.Four days seems a bit short but maybe London is closer to you than myself.Figured you'd spend at least a week there. But wow, three kids, what an entourage!lol.By any chance any longhairs in the group other than you and your gf? ;) Always great hearing from you and reading about your life's adventures.Cheers
Mârk
Hey Mark!
London is about a 1.5h flight away from where I live, so it's really not such an challenging place to reach for me :) Now if it was Los Angeles or something, I'd agree with you ;)
My girl has a 6 year old, an 8 year old and an 10 year old, so it's definitely tons of boys being boys (aka noise!), hehe... out of the three, the 10 year old has actually shown interest in growing his perfectly straight and blonde hair long (think Søren from this board), so we will see if he sticks to it! He's at about 3 months now, and almost longer than me already, hehe.
Thanks you for your comments!
Awww, poor little Fufu (LOL)!
As I mentioned earlier (below), your girlfriend is what I'd call, "movie-star GORGEOUS"!!!! Your beard is looking quite dashing as well (although not quite as amazing as Steveo the Beardo's; but hey, give it time, it will get there - LOL)!
My one and only time visiting London was in May of '06, including got to see the Chelsea Flower Show -- what a city, and what an amazing flower & garden show!!!
Anyway, great post, and your hair is definitely looking longer now!!
"Onward & Downward!"
- Ken
Thanks for the kind words, my good friend! I Will make sure to transmit the message and compliments to the missis, she will surely be glad to hear it's not only me who is calling her drop dead gorgeous ;)
Steve is a great inspiration and a great guy all-together! His number one advice when asked about shaping that beard? Surprisingly enough (or not at all) is to simply let it grow!
I truly dislike the looks of huge, unkept beards curling all over the place, but I definitely see a well styled, shaped and trimmed beard to be a fantastic accessory, and Steve here really shows it with his BIG beard that still looks fantastically well kept.
Guess now the goal is September 17th ;)
What a fantastic photo of you both! I'm glad you had such a great time in London. We just got back from a week's vacation ourselves. It's nice to recharge!
It's fantastic, and essential! :) And the very best part of it, is that in a week's time, we'll be hiking/driving/kanooing and bycicling a large part of the west coast / the fjords of western norway! Can't wait! :)
Looking forward to pictures of you and the family on facebook, buddy! Hope Rowan had a good time!
Hi Raul,
Whet a wonderful picture of the two of you, and thank you for sharing. It founds as though you had an awe inspiring time.
I have never been overseas, even though my Mom spent most of her childhood in London, until she met my Dad during WWII. Hopefully, I will have the opportunity to make that trip sometime during my lifetime.
Take care, and keep it growing,
David
Thanks David!
You should definitely find the time to take the trip to London, whenever you might get the chance! It's a great city with a lot of history and culture to be witnessed, especially for you who has roots in the place :)
I will most definitely do keep on growing! ;)
Great pic...and your S.O. is a beautiful lady!
It reminded me a beautiful trip my wife & I took 5 years ago while our oldest was still working in Paris. We took the TGV from Paris, went in the tunnel under la Manche and to London. What a city...and it was sunny the 3 days we were there!! We even took the tube...reminded me of the Metro (underground subway) in Montreal Canada as it is so quiet...- rubber tires versus metal wheels/tracks)....but full of people! Great souvenirs....Haven't been to the "old continent" since, but I'd love to go back to London and also visit Scotland & Ireland.
A.D.
Hi A.D!
Thanks, she truly is a beautiful soul in a beatuiful package :)
The TGV between Paris and London is one I have been wanting to take for years, as I still haven't been to the city of lights! Didn't get the chance this time around either, but I will surely do it next time around!
The tube system in London keeps amazing me each and every time! Can you imagine 4 milion people moving so effectively every single day from one side of the city to the other, with (almost) perfect efficiency?
I know I am impressed! :)
Hope to get to visit the great north as well some day, seeing as that was my initial goal regarding immigration back in 2000 :)
Who's that beautiful couple? Is there a film shooting in London town?
You compliment each other quite nicely.
I'm glad you all had such a great time in London.
Bruce
Thanks BruceJ, you are being far too kind (at least with my hugly mug)! Haha
