Thought I'd post some photos, as I'm very happy with my hair these days. I've also been pleasantly surprised to learn that I'm not the only guy in my area who is platinum blond and proud, as I've recently seen a guy with shoulder-length hair the exact same shade as mine a few times in one of the discos I frequent. That's especially surprising because blond hair on a guy is considered about as attractive as having a large wart on your nose in the city where I live.
Hey Sören,
I don't know about where you live but I'd take those kinda worts anyday my friend:) As always your hair is so amazing and the colour is stunning.I can see why your so happy with your hair as who wouldn't be.Cool too that you've noticed a hair twin locally. Maybe chat him up as at least you have that in common. Cheers

Haha, thanks Mark. I really do want to tell that guy he has great hair, but I'm not sure how to do it without him getting the wrong idea (given that this disco caters to gays and I always go there alone).
I have to strongly disagree, your hair looks great. And where your hair is blonde you should enjoy it to it's fullest.
Ignore what others think is attractive.
Thanks. And yeah, I don't pay much mind to what others think is attractive, just what I think looks good.
Your hair is awesome! It doesn't matter one bit what others think, only what you feel/think. I actually find it funny that some people can get so upset about something that has absolutely no effect on their personal life.
I think that white/light blonde hair is the only thing better than black hair, most of us can only dream of hair like that unless we want to use a cocktail of nasty chemicals. I think your hair glorious to be frank.
Your hair makes me think of some prominent characters in movies such as Thor, Legolas (LoTR), Lucius Malfoy (from harry potter) and Castor (from tron) All awesome guys :)
Thanks so much for your kind words. But actually, it's not my natural colour; I go through 3 hours of peroxide burns every month to change my black hair to this colour. It's actually a lot easier to maintain and not as hard on the hair as people think.
Funny you should mention Legolas, as I have a friend who's told me I remind her of him.
What fantastic hair, Søren.. who wouldn't love hair like that?
To put it midly, for most of us to reach that texture and color, we would need to totally destroy our hair with chemicals, so you are lucky to have it naturally- ENJOY IT!
Btw, I live in Norway, and though straight, fine, blonde hair is the norm here, you hardly see any men with hair like yours. Most of the ones growing it have either brown hair, or they color it completely black, being metalheads.
You are unique, my friend! Time to be proud of it! =)
Thanks, Raul, but I don't have this hair colour naturally. In fact, my hair is naturally almost black, so the chemicals required to go blond are not as harsh and damaging as most people think.
I'm very surprised to hear that people in Norway tend to dye their hair black, because I've been to Sweden a few times, and it seemed that most people there were obsessed with being blond. Then again, these contrasting trends do tend to crop up in Scandinavia because of all the inter-nation rivalry, I imagine.
I kinda' had that suspicion, knowing the ins and outs of scandinavian hair by now, and how even the children born and sporting completely birght-blonde hair, tend to change to a darker dirty blonde with age, and how close to 100% of blonde women here bleach at least some highlights into their blonde hair ;)
As I said, most women ARE blonde and I absolutely LOOOOVE it, hehe... but most men having long hair do not typically sport blonde locks. Not that many longhairs here, but I can attest to most of them having brown colored hair, whether natural or dyed :)
Outstanding update! Your hair is very similar in appearance to that of my eldest son, prior to his dreadlocking them about 2 years ago.
Cheers,
Val
Thanks, Val. I couldn't imagine wearing dreadlocks myself, but to each his own.
Hi Soren,
Absolutely beautiful. Thanks for showing us your crowning glory. I want mine that length and will get there before too long. Again, just so hot.
white mane
Thank you. Good luck on getting there and beyond!
Beautiful blond hair! Is it all natural color?
Thank you. No, it's not my natural colour. My hair is naturally almost black, but I think the white blond appears more natural due to how pale I am in my skin and eyes.
As always, your hair looks great!
Is it your natural color?
Thank you. And no, that colour is entirely peroxide-induced. My hair is naturally very dark, almost black.
Your hair looks absolutely stunning. I had been on an extended hiatus for the past few years so I have missed out on your previous updates so forgive my questions. I have read through the other responses below and read where you peroxide your hair to get that color. How long have you been doing that? Although you said it doesn't damage as much as one might think, I am curious about how your hair feels now compaired to before you started doing the peroxide treatments. Softer, corser, etc?
Back when I worked outside in the sun year round back in the 90s, my hair would be my natural dark brown color near the roots and fade out toward a blond near the ends which at the time was just a little shorter than what you currently have now. My girlfriend at that time absolutely loved the blond ends.

Thank you. And I don't mind questions; this site is for sharing information, after all.
I first had my hair bleached about 3 years ago, back when it was a little above shoulder-length. That was the only time I had my entire head bleached at once. Since then, I have been getting the dark regrowth bleached every 6 weeks or so.
Regarding hair texture, I'd say it was only the very first treatment that caused a change in my hair texture. The ends became quite a bit coarser and more dry, but I had them trimmed not long after that and my hair texture was back to normal. I haven't noticed any thinning, damage, or texture change since then.
The reason I got lucky to have so little damage when I went blond is because I did it when my hair was still relatively short. I'd approached several hair stylists about bleaching my hair when it was still very long (I had it waist-length for most of my life until I cut it off at age 18), and they all refused to do it because they said the bleach would destroy the ends of my hair and I'd have to lose nearly all the length if I wanted it to be healthy again. So the ability to bleach my hair safely was really the only silver lining to having my hair cut short.
Perfection!
Bruce
Hi Soren.
Wow! Your hair looks great! Looks like you're approx mid back length. What's your goal?
