Hey guys! This is grown out from a sort of 80s surfer bowl cut...it's been about 9 or 10 months since my last true haircut. Still kind of at the bob stage...and every time I've grown my hair out, this is where I usually cut it off.
But this time around I'm digging it! I think that's partly because I've been visiting this board and getting support from all your stories. Thanks!

Yep, the positive vibe here really helps. Especially on a bad hair day - I had one of those yesterday.
Your hair looks great, and texture-wise I think it will look sensational when it gets longer.

Lookin' Good, Steve. You have a good all one length gowth going and you will find you like it more and more as it grows. Bob stage will pass,Stay on course through the awkward stage (which "Bob" is a part) and enjoy.
Hey, don't worry about the Bob phase, this will get out as soon it get a bit longer, don't cut it, try to keep it up, don't give up to the pressure of the others around you.
I've went for the same haircut for years and years, the only thing I got when I was trying to grow out, was a little afro on the top of my head and never got anything past that, because I was forced to take a haircut again by my father monthly.
Just be patient, and keep it flowing and remember, if you get anxious for that, looking everyday in the mirror worring about that isn't growing, it will drive you crazy and you won't see any progress.
Hope you keep it up, it will come along very nicely.
I see you have been doing some trimming to get your one-length. You're doing very well for 10 months. I also suggest not doing any more trimming until you get to your target length.
Keep the faith! Don't let the haircut taliban get you down. Don't be afraid to ponytail when you need to.

Keep powering on, Steve. I think you have a good look going for yourself - Remember the two week rule now - if you have a day when you think you might take the scissors to it - remember to give yourself two weeks before you cut...but, don't cut. It looks great.

If I ever wanted to go back to shorter hair than I currently have, I would probably decide on the length and look of your pic here; but on the other hand, there's great advantage to having hair long enough to be able to tie back into a tail -- so I hope you keep it growing!
