Hey fellas..love seeing all the great pics and progress from everyone growing their hair.Havent put one up in a while.I have been using Monoi oil shampoo, conditioner and products to help reduce breakage and hopefully extend the length a little.i have seen less broken hairs but still shed about as much as i always have..mostly during washes and not during combing.
14 years... excellent! It sounds like you have a good hair care routine Gordy. Maybe I'll look into that, considering your success.
Bruce
Gordy, if there';s one person here who I think of as "Mr. Hair", it's gotta be YOU!!!!
AWESOME, truly amazing -- and interestingly, 14 years is the same # of years since my last short haircut (my infamous devastating Y2K haircut)!

Haircuts are actually totally unnecessary. Life itself is possible without haircuts.
Bill
Yes, and the vast majority of us at MLHH are living proof of that! In fact, let's take it one step further and say that life is BETTER and HAPPIER because of no haircuts -- HIP-HIP HURRAY for NO MORE HAIRCUTS!!!
Hi Ken...i will check to see if i can legally change my name to that!you are my hair twin...actually i think we have a triplet because i recall Karsten started growing his incredible mane about the same time we did..we here are all committed to living our lives in our hair a nd getting it as long as it will get..i know that is your goal!!
Hi Gordy,
As usual, your hair is just looking wonderful! The color and thickness is very admirable! Good to hear you have found some nice products to use that protect your hair. Please stay well my friend!
Ted
thanks Ted!!..and i gotta say bud...you have now become the inspiration for others here..funny how those tables turn over time..i admire your courage and diligence to face your health issues and your positive attitude thru it all when so many of these things would break a lesser man!!1and the hair hasnt suffered at all...keep it growing man!
Oh Gordy! I am so thankful for your heartfelt words! I must tell you, I am feeling so much better nowadays! Although I'm somewhat drained from today's dialysis treatment:(. I made the choice that I would enjoy my life no matter what comes along. Every day is a gift-that's why it's called the present.
I am having so much fun letting my hair grow and can't wait until it gets very long. This board has been so much help and inspiration to me. I have to say that your hair is definitely very inspiring to me as well! The color and texture is just lovely! I will definitely keep my hair growing! And I wish you good health and great hair growing!
Ted
Congratulations! That's a great achievement, and you have a great head of hair. Here's to the next 14 years!
Thanks!i consider myself very fortunate to have what i do at the age of 53....however i havent been meticulous about my hair but do try to maintain what i have to its best.I take an excellent supplement and use good shampoo and conditioner...no gels,no sprays.no coloring and try to protect it from the sun as much as i can
Hey, Gordy - It's good to get an update from a guy who has been growing it out for quite a while... Your hair looks awesome. Thanks for checking in... I doubt I'll ever have as much hair has you have, but still I am happy to be in the process of growing what I have.
Fitz

You are pretty much how I hope to look when I am at your age! Great genes there, buddy!
Love the color!
Hi Gordy.
Your hair is awesome. It looks so thick and healthy. However, we can't really see the lenght of it...How long is it? How long do you want it to be?
