After one year of regrowing my hair, I wanted to have short hair again.
After another year of bald/buzzed/spiky hair I started growing it once again :)
Now I'm at 10 months of growth and I start to feel like a longhair again. Back to my former glory :)
Hey Vincent,
Welcome Home, Bro,
You look great. Long hair is your style.
Glad to have you back. Keep us updated on your progress.
Your long haired bro,
Raymond
Hi Raymond,
Thanks, I really like this style on me.
Your hair has grown a lot to, really nice!
Great to hear, Vincent!!! Your hair was always a huge inspiration to me. Welcome to the journey back!
Thanks for the welcome!
You were my biggest inspiration when I first started growing, I looked at your website a lot and always hoped to have hair like you one day. Guess I made it if I'm an inspiration to you now :)
Nice to see ya back...you will again look great with long hair!
Enjoy the journey.... The Spaf Man
Thanks, yep I really like the look and feeling of longhair.
I will!
Welcome back Vincent.
I guess I missed all of that while I was out on hiatus for a few years. It's good to see another face that I recognize. I look forward to seeing future updates. I'll be doing a 16 year update sometime this month. Doesn't seem possible that it has been that long already.
Daniel
Thanks Daniel,
Haven't heard from you in a while, guess sometimes life get's in the way. It's nice to hear from the old regulars :)
Wow 16 years, really nice. I'm like a change once in a while, so I probably won't have long hair for that long. Last time I had long hair for 5 years, we'll see how long I like it this way. Time flies doesn't it?
Cutting my hair just for a change isn't something that I could ever do. I'm not sure how to explain it other than to say I am one of those guys that wishes he could say that his hair had never been cut. I'm all for changing things up from time to time, and that's one of the beauties of long hair, I can wear my hair different every day for a week and it be totally different than any other day. If you have short hair, you have to wait months to make a change.
Actually, that cut 16 years ago was to meet the requirements for a new job. I told myself immediately afterwards, "Never again." And I didn't. At the time my hair was mid back when I cut it to collar length. I worked there for 3 years before I left and moved on to better things. Of course they would tell me that I needed to cut my hair to meet their standards. But it didn't really matter because I could go to work for a thousand different companies doing the exact same thing I was doing there.
The reason I've been kinda out of the picture the past few years really comes down to busyness. My kids where going through a bad situation that I saved them from, then I decided to go to college part time while single parenting and working full time. I also got involved with a few things at church and my community that I wasn't available to before. Looks like I'll get these first two years of college crammed down into 4.5 before I transfer over to the university to work on my environmental biology degree. One year from now my oldest will start college himself. So yeah, that's what's been going on over the past few years.
Daniel
Everybody is different, but if you regret cutting your hair it's good to promise to yourself to never cut it again.
I've never regret cutting my hair, I wanted it short and was happy with it. When I want it long again, I can always grow it.
Wow that's a lot of things you've worked yourself through. You did a good job managing all that on your own!
Vincent
Hi Vincent,
I am so happy to see you here again! Very nice to see you will grow your beautiful hair long again! I am looking forward to seeing your journey back to glory! Please stay well and welcome back home my friend!
Ted
Thanks for the warm welcome.
Yep really looking forward to it, a little more grey in it then last time but those are my natural highlights :)
Welcome back, buddy!
- Oren
Thanks :)
Welcome back from the dark side! Look forward to seeing posts
from you again.
Thanks, it's good to be back :)
Welcome back Vincent, I surely do remember you! :)
10 months is a great start already back towards long hair, and I am sure you will get back to where you were formerly before you even know it! :)
Hi Raul,
We are at the same point in our hair journey.
I'm sure you will make it back as well!
Vincent
Definitely so, my friend :)
Hi Vincent,
Glad to have you back as a longhair as I've always felt this is where you belong :) I know some guys do feel the need for change and unfortunately that involves cutting off ones hair if its been long for some time.I do hope this time your in it for the long haul but only you know the answer to that.If you've been following the board recently you might have noticed that an occasional poster by the name of "Dusk" recently decided to give up his long hair :( Regardless I'm happy your back with us my friend and please stop back often! Cheers
Mârk
Hi Mark,
I'm happy with the choices I made, and at the moment I'm very happy regrowing :)
Can't predict what I will do with my hair in the future, will do what I feel like at that moment.
Vincent
Read about Dusk, it a shame giving up that long hair but I can relate.
Hey Vincent
Great to see your post and photo....you have definitely returned to longhairdom....looking good.
Thanks for sharing
Walter
Thanks Walter :)
Hi Vincent,
Welcome back to longhairdom! You are off to a great start, and have such nice thick hair to work with. I look forward to following your long hair journey.
Keep it growing,
David
Hi David,
Thanks you for the welcome.
I look forward to it as well, remember the feeling of the nice thick hair on my back.
Vincent
Hi Vincent,
Great to see you back here!
I like your current length and hairstyle -- reminds me of when I was in my 20s and 30s, I had a similar length and style prior to growing it to ponytail length by my 40th birthday.
I even had a dream a couple of years ago that I was back at college, walking into the school cafeteria and seeing my reflection in the glass, thinking to myself: "Well, someday I want my hair much longer than this; but, this length looks good on me, and it's long enough for now, so I'm happy!"
Dreams are funny, but they also reveal a subconscious truth about our thinking that we might not otherwise be fully aware of.
In real life, I had very short hair all throughout my school years (because my dad would not allow long hair on me or my brothers). I only attended college for one year; but had I been able to grow even your current length of hair during that freshman year, I would have been THRILLED!!!
It's all relative, isn't it? Compared to when your hair was at its very maximum length a few years ago, this is "short" by comparison. But compared to your more recent hair history, this is definitely a return to long!
Anyway, enough of my silly old geezer babblings... WELCOME BACK!!!
- Ken
Hi Ken,
I like the current style. easy to take care and still plenty long.
But I will keep it growing, because I like it longer.
Yep it's sad you couldn't grow your hair when you were young, but you have a nice head of hair atm!
Indeed, compared to my previous longhair this is short. But at the moment it feels very long to me :)
Vincent
Welcome back Vincent! I look forward to your updates of your new journey.
Bruce
Thanks Bruce!

You were an active member on my first go-around here. Glad to see you are back and growing again.

Hi Chris,
Yes, I used to be very active in the past. After that just lurking and have been away from the board for a while. But never forget about it, this is the best board on the net!
Vincent
