Hi CEM,
Thanks a bunch for the info! I have never heard of that bird. He is a beauty though! I sure wish I lived where you live! Enjoy it!
Ted
What an awesome photo, CEM., just BEAUTIFUL!!!!!
I was thinking about you the other day, wondering where you've been, since I haven't seen you post here in quite awhile... Those Australian winters down there must bring out the ancient tradition of hibernation, eh? (LOL) In any case, welcome back!
- Ken in San Francisco
(our hibernation season yet to come - LOL)
Thanks heaps Kenny - 'The Mop' kept me warm this winter = & here's a pic. of my 'Pet Bird' = it's wild & followed me home when I was bushwalking - it flew & walked right back to the farm-house ... so I just had to take a pic. = else no-one would believe me ... lol cheers 2 ewe CEM. ;0)
Hi again CEM.
What kind of bird is that? I love the pink chest -- and it's so tiny! A baby bird, I assume.
Animals of all kinds are such a gift, such a joy to have around as companions to us silly humans. How cool that this bird followed you home!
Thanks again for sharing what's been happening with you Down Under, it's always a treat hearing from you!!
- Ken
Thx. again Kenny - The bird is a 'Galah': ( a native parrot of Oz. ) my farm has 87 species of bird, so far counted ) - & yes animals are more perceptive, intuitive & intelligent than we give credit = I feel the bird sensed my kindness & my need of companionship that day - so we walked together for a while - hand in wing ... he was a male as the male's eyes are black & the females eyes are red ... just a bit-o-trivia for ewe ... :O) have a great day cheers CEM.
If my father saw a bird like that, he would want immediately to catch it, he's getting old and he started with this "hobby" to catch birds that he found in the street and bringing them to home.
My mother sometimes says that he loves more the birds than her, if you dare to touch them, he gets pissed off.
Anyway, I never saw a bird like that around here, it's so good looking and so cute!.
Cheers!
hehehe - thx. for that lil' anecdotal story - I can sometimes see why we love animals more than humans: ( in this crazy world )
Hi CEM---You are looking awesome, I hope your doing well..
