I have these odd little milestones I look to and hope to reach. And today, I noticed that I finally reached one. One most button up shirts there is a line where the material is stitched along the upper back / shoulder line. I finally feel that I have reached that milestone - my pony tail has reached that line in my shirt... And just thought I'd share it with you guys - although, this is probably not the best picture, taken with my phone in a mirror in the bathroom at work... yes, at work... I am shameless.
Looks great, Congrats!
Onward and Downward,
- Oren
Thanks, Oren
Appreciate your compliment.
Your hair is looking great.
One of the great things about growing your hair long is the many
milestones you'll pass on the way to your desired length. Enjoy very single one of them.
THANKS, LH in Albany! I appreciate every milestone.

Yeah,
I posted same pic on Instagram and my son sorta made fun of me.
Yes, I am without shame...
Cheers!
So.. taking selfies at work, huh? hahaha Just kidding!
I think it's cute that you set little milestones to yourself.
Growing hair out is not a simple journey, so if you start from no hair and your initial goal is waist length, you may probably die because of the anxiety and may feel like you are never reaching that goal. Instead, setting small goals, little milestones is the way to go.
I don't know what happened to my first response to you, Dave - cyberspace somewhere - same place all my missing socks go, possibly.
thanks for the fun words of encouragement - I am trying real hard to be shameless about my hair - I tend to concern myself too much with how I look and how I percieve others think I look - so, yeah - little goals and mini-updates keep me going - although, quite honestly - this one seemed like it took forever to acheive. And, I admit, I enjoy hearing that something I've done is cute - keeps me smilin'
Congratulations, step by step we can reach little milestones and even reach our desired goals without getting anxious, two years or four years isn't something like 15 days, people these days thinks that it's easy to grown long hair.
Keep up!
Cheers!
Thanks, G!
Cheers!
Hi Fitz,
This is a great update and your hair is growing nice! I have to say I like your mini milestone approach! It kind of keeps you going. Your hair is going to look really good the longer it gets! And you have a right to be shameless with that tail! Please keep it growing and stay well my friend!
Ted
Thank you, Ted, for the encouragement. I really am enjoying the overall ride now - I am very glad that awkward stage is history now and I can just enjoy.
