Hey all!
It's been a while but I've finally gotten myself time to post an update. My hair's been growing out pretty well as of lately and I'm over the dry and frizzy stage I was stationed in.
Thanks for all the support and inspiration you've given me and I do hope to continue growing it even longer if possible. My boyfriend has told me that right now would be a good time to trim it and I'd think that will be the way I'll go so I'll leave you all a picture of how it looks now before anything is done to it.
Hope everyone's doing great!
Hi Jesse,
I have to say your hair looks fantastic!!!!You have achieved a fabulous length with hair that looks in superb condition so whatever you've been doing is working perfectly. As for trimming I'd almost say there is no need since the ends look undamaged. To me, it looks like you are far from terminal length so the sky is the limit my friend :)Thank you for the update and truly an inspirational pic.Cheers

Absolutely beautiful ! Thanks for Sharing

You're far to kind Mârk, thanks for the encouraging words. Certainly wouldn't have achieved this length and quality without the help from everyone here. Even when I don't post as often I take everything I can from the times I lurk. ;)
Hope you're doing good!
Love that gorgeous hair, Jesse. Nice picture, too.

Your hair is looking impressive.
I'd wait until until hitting terminal length before trimming anything.
Thanks for the kind words! Will certainly look into that.
All I can say is AWESOME HAIR!!!
Whoa, dude! That's great hair. You're a good lookin' guy anyway, but your hair is fine. The color and volume are excellent. I wouldn't do too much trimming, but I can understand if you want to keep it waist length for practical reasons.
Ha! Thanks for both your compliments. I'd really just want to trim it just to keep it at an even length, I'm certainly hoping it grows longer but we'll see.
Thanks again!
Hi Jesse,
Wow! What can I say? You and your hair are just looking awesome! You have inspired me like you can't believe! Needless to say, I am doing wonderful after seeing this photo! I probably wouldn't want to trim it if it was me though! Thanks for the inspiration and please be well my friend!
Ted
Thanks for the kind words Ted! I've seen many of you guys as inspiration and it's kind of surreal knowing I'm inspiring people now so thanks for that! I'll see where the whole trimming thing goes, I'd want to do it for grooming purposes but all the positive feedback I've gotten is holding me back.
Thanks again!
Hi Jesse ... very beautiful, healthy, shiny hair - a real standard to aspire to ... great update - thanks for posting cheers CEM.
I think, if it was MY hair, I'd trim it - but then again I like the extreme straight-across blunt kind of cut. Just an inch, maybe, would probably be enough.
Trim or no trim, can't go wrong either way!
It appears as though you've been able to keep it in very nice condition during the growing process. Have you trimmed it at all along the way? I would have never achieved waist-length without trims along the way to keep everything looking tidy.
Some people like "fairy-tail" ends. I personally like blunt, trimmed ends....it's all personal preference.
Are you thinking more U-shaped, or straight across?
Congrats on your hair's health and on the length!
My god, Jesse, that hair is totally out of this world!
You look like a wooden elf, only the poiny ears missing... or are they there behind that glorious mane? :D
Thanks for the inspiration!
Gorgeous! I would vote for a little bit of blunt, straight across trim (an inch or two). I've always said that keeping it trimmed shows you care about your hair (vs. ragged ends). As I recall, your boyfriend is a stylist, right?
Wow! Your hair is gorgeous. I'm jealous of the length. What products do you use in your hair? I wish I was your boyfriend.
What can I say that hasn't been said so far?
Amazing looking hair! Please, don't trim.
WOW, just WOW!!!!!!!
Whether you trim or don't trim, as long as you never cut it short, as the old saying goes, your hair is simply "the cat's meow!"

Hi Jesse,
What an outstanding update, and you are a true inspiration to all. You are blessed with excellent hair in perfect condition that grows quickly, and you should be able to achieve a lot more growth in the years to come,
Keep up the good work with the growing!
David
I'm extremely impressed and, to be honest, I'm also extremely envious. I fully understand your(?) interest in doing a bit of trimming, and if you decide to do so, please be absolutely certain that you trust the person who you choose to do the trimming to cut off only the slightest bit of ragged ends. You can always have more trimmed off later if you're not satisfied. But Please, please, please continue to grow your magnificent mane . . . it truly is a thing of beauty.
Hi Jesse.
Wow, your hair looks fantastic. I envy you! Can't wait to reach that length...in approx 2-3 years!!!!! How long do you want them to get?
FYI. I just had my hair trimmed a few weeks ago (see thread posted on Sept 5). My trustworthy stylist that Ive known for years (and that truly loves my long hair!) only cuts what she needs to, usually approx 1 cm / 1/2 inch. I have my hair trimmed every 6 months. I find my hair looks healthier (especially the ends) and experience less shedding after a short trim....It's up to you to decide...but see someone you can trust!

Absolutely Beautiful!
Your hair looks healthy all the way down to the ends, I don't see any reason to trim whatsoever. Of course I'm biased from within the no trim camp for 16 years now, but your hair is truly healthy looking.

Thanks for sharing, amazing and awesome... I like it just the way it is....
