You know how it feels good to have the wind in your hair...and for those who have longer hair, how it leads to tangles? Sometimes you decide it is worth it.
I am now detangling after operating this car with the front window open, which meant my hair was doing the medusa thing!
This, instead of the day of working on the computer completing a lesson plan. My life, so hard!
My partner and I have been on that line.
It looks like the F Line, eastbound on Beach, just west of Stockton, in the Fisherman's Wharf area.
No wait. It can't be. It's not chock full of tourists. You have to really fight to get on a car there.

A question, is it legal to drive a vehicle with the front window open? In some states a front windshield is a requirement to get
an inspection sticker.
I think it is required for rubber tired vehicles on highways and freeways in California. 108 year old streetcars on the city streets of San Francisco, not so much.
....think you have the koolest job in the country !!
Thanks for Sharing
Yeah, Walter, we all realize Robert's got a really horrible job, but hey, somebody's gotta do it!
Bill
Good seeing you from the Boat today!
Holy heck. I've long said a artist I met online named Paul Roustan has the funnest job I've ever heard of because all he does is paint beautiful models naked bodies all day. But your job takes a close second. That is a one cool job you've got there, dude.
Well, it's about lunchtime. I think I'll see if I've got some Rice-a-Roni around. :)
Hi Trolleypup,
One of these days I hope to get back to Northern Cal and meet you on the line! My Mom lives in Suisun City and I haven't seen her in a while. I sure do miss it out there though.
I didn't really think hair as long as yours would do the "Medusa" thing! I think the detangling is worth it considering you were able to pilot the classic boat with the windshield open! I must say I wish I had your job (and your hair)! Please don't work too hard! And please stay well my friend!

Come'on over!
Well, need to be going over 15mph...the air flow in that car is odd, blast from the front window straight back, but updraft on both sides behind. Should have gotten someone to take video.
It is pretty hard to make this into work.
Today I went out to enjoy and ended up doing a trip on the Dinkey (#578) and the Boat...Sweet!
I'm half scared to post the picture above. Some longhair from back east may notice that you are in a boat in California without a life jacket.
It's always a hoot to see the boat. This afternoon after we saw you in it, we saw it rolling northbound on The Embarcadero without you in it (others were operating it), and right after that we saw the dinky southbound, full of happy riders!
We don't know how you do it. You have a job where they make you work outside in scorching 65° temperatures in the summer and freezing 62° temperatures in the winter. Your workplace does not even have decent windows, and being just a few feet above sea level without a life jacket, you might drown!

Hi Bill,
This is a great pic of Robert in the Boat! Thanks a bunch for posting!

Hi Trolleypup,
Hopefully one of these days I can! I bet that is a heck of a sight with your hair! I sure am glad you have a great job that you seem to enjoy for the most part! This is a good thing indeed!

Hmmmm, out of all the times I've been to SF I have yet to ride on any of those cool streetcars.Of course I've seen some of them but what I did ride on were just the more common people carriers.LOL. Great pic as it looks like your the engineer of a great locomotive ;) Cheers

It is awesome when you are facing into the wind, any other direction really sucks.
Also pretty chill job, does it ever get boring/monotonous?
Great Pic, I am glad you are enjoying your hair, and driving the streetcar... I have never been to Calf and only ever rode buses, "trackless" trolleys (in Philly), and trains.
All the best.... The Spaf Man
