Dave in Argentina and I have been working on getting our FAQ On Being A Longhair into Spanish. We've completed Parts 1 and 4 of the four-part document, and now we are starting on Parts 2 and 3. We'll post again here when those two parts are done.
If you know Spanish, check it out! (If you don't know Spanish, fret not, because it is just like the English version. [grin] ) Links in the upper left corner of each page enable a user to jump from one language to another.
A guy translated it into French about ten years ago, so we will soon have it all in three languages!
For those of you who aren't familiar with the document, it is a collection of information, mostly culled from discussions during the early years of MLHH. It can provide support information to those who don't want to post here, and also, it helps newcomers to long hair from having to come here to MLHH to ask the same questions over and over.

On Being A Longhair (in Spanish)
WOW, vey very impressive, Bill!
A big CONGRATS to you and to Dave in Argentina for an amazing job well done!!!
I like the way I can click on Spanish and then over to English -- which for me (since I am not a native Spanish speaker), this can help me improve on my Spanish, making sure I clearly understand some words that I might normally be a bit uncertain about.
I greatly look forward to your & Dave's translation of pages 2 and 3!!
Thanks for all of your hard work guys, this is really a wonderful undertaking.

Thanks for the nice comments Ken.
It really is a hard work to do. Reading the material in English, understand it and then put it in Spanish words maintaining its meaning but also using words and expressions that native Spanish speakers are familiar with.
Hopefully, we will get all four documents ready faster than you can imagine :)
Bill and Dave,
This is awesome of you two to get this done! Although I am not a native Spanish speaker, I can appreciate the importance of this! I'm sure it is much work and thank you guys for making it happen! It just makes the MLHH that much better!
Ted
What's always made MLHH great is that so many of us all chip in to make it better! When MLHH came into existence, the Internet was mostly people in the U.S. because the Internet started here. "Other languages" were far from anyone's mind. Now we have a worldwide audience that can be, needs to be, and often cries to be reached, and it made sense to Dave and me that getting our information out in Spanish would reach the most men if we were to add a language for those we don't reach with the English material.
Although Chinese and Hindi are the two languages with the most speakers by far, they are widely spoken in only a few countries and areas. English and Spanish are in spots #3 and #4 with native speakers hands down. Those two languages are widely spoken and in many countries, so they are #1 and #2 when it comes to major languages that one could call "international languages", and we clearly could help the most people by choosing to get our information into Spanish.
My web logs show about 5000 people look at the English version each month. About 150 look at the French version. (A French guy cranked out a French translation for us about ten years ago.) Spanish is much more widely spoken than French, and I'd be very surprised if we don't get 1000 or more looking at the new Spanish version, so we will be helping a lot of longhairs! Some Portuguese and Italian longhairs may find the Spanish version more readable than the English or French versions, so it may help them, too.
An interesting aside: One thing my preliminary research revealed was that the item most searched for was how to make your hair grow FASTER. There's obviously demand for that! If any of you guys want to really make it rich, invent a pill guys can take, or a fertilizer guys can spread on their scalps, and you'll be a very wealthy man!
We are working on Part 2, and it should be done in a day or two. Not long after that, we'll crank out Part 3, and the Spanish translation will be done!
