Today my husband Larry and I celebrated our having met each other 38 years ago today. We took a drive down the Pacific Coast, and we ate at one of the MLHH crowd's favorite haunts, Duarte's in Pescadero! (Thought of you guys while we were there!)
Wish some of you guys were along!
Bill
Congratulations!!!
It was huge! We probably walked around over two miles in there! At one point we got so lost that we had to make scratches in the ground to tip us off that we had already explored paths and found them to be dead ends.

The walls were too high to look over. They had a rule against climbing up the walls, but that didn't stop some kids. They were running around on the top of the walls. The surface of the tops of the walls was also a maze, but at least they could see where they were going!
Bill
... TOO MUCH FUN = I LOVE IT !!! - just for a giggle ...
Now that's a real hoot!

ROFL, what a hoot! "Hey, I resemble that remark!" (LOL)
Hay! A-Maze-ing!

CONGRATS !!! Bill & Larry - that's an amazing milestone !!! love the pic. cheers cEM.
Hi Bill,
Oh how I remember our very first meet up down at Duarte's in Pescadero. It was the first time I had ever met you and Larry as well as the other longhairs who showed up that day, which also was bright and sunny too!It didn't seem all that long ago but I checked and confirmed it was in 2008.I also included a candid pic from that day :)
When I was out your way, around a month ago, I did stop down there for lunch and also to see Pigeon Point Lighthouse again.Sure is a beautiful area along the coast but I seemed to have missed seeing that maze thing.Maybe that hadn't built it up yet but now I know the Pumpkin Festival is closing in,or already happened, in HMB.
Thanks for sharing you drive down the coast as it is one of my favorites :) Cheers

Thanks for that pic, Mark! I haven't seen those two guys (Rick and Steve) in quite a while. It's safe to say, over half of the hair on the four guys in that pic was on Steve's head. Too bad we can't see it!
Bill
Hi Bill,
Oh forgot to say congratulations on the 38 years celebration. That's a long time but also a testament that real relationships can happen :) Say hello to Larry for me.Cheers

Congratulations.
Hey Bill,
A huge CONGRATS to you & Larry!!!! (38 years is no small sneeze in a little tissue, I've known people who couldn't even last one year in a relationship!}
Ahhh, Duarte's... I'm craving their Cream of Artichoke soup and Ollalieberry Pie even just thinking about that beautiful drive down to Pescadero!
Nice pic, too, Bill!
And.... looking forward to seeing you guys next week!
Longhaired Hugs,
Ken
Hi Bill and Larry,
Happy anniversary to you guys! Sounds like you had a wonderful time and had some great eats! I hope one of these days I can get back out to Northern Cal and visit Duarte's! I do miss living there that's for sure! Can we go for 38 more? Please be well both of you!
Ted
Hi Bill,
Congrats to you and Larry on your 38th!
John in Denver...
Mazal tov to you guys! i had to look up Pescadero on Google Maps. I once lived in Monterey (many years ago), but I never made it up there. May you enjoy at least another 38 years together!
Don
My congratulations to you both, and may you be blessed with many years of happiness and love.

My blog
Congratulations, Bill and Larry. 38 years! That's something worth celebrating. When you can say you still love and care about one another after all those years - that is worth a whole lot.
Bill and Larry,
Happy 38th! Congratulations on a long and loving relationship!
peace,
John
Thanks to you all for your well wishes and congratulations! And as for our making it for 38 more years as some wished, well, that would be awesome, but I will be almost 116 then! Probably won't happen. [grin]
To paraphrase the old folk song, "The old gray hair, she ain't what she used to be," but as long as I can see the flower end of the daisies, grow it I will!
Bill
38 years! A great reason to celebrate. Hope you have many more years of happiness.
