    It's a bit thick to get through my foredeck mooring cleat. However, it would need to be a lot longer to get to the dock cleat. What's the breaking strain in pounds?

        I just took a very fine shed strand of my own hair (0.0017" diameter or 43 microns in diameter) and it took about 60 grams to break it. That is 58,000 PSI. I guess hair is even stronger than I thought. I did look it up again and it said 380 megapascals.
