Last year I left a 20+ year corporate career and decided to stop cutting my hair. I've always wanted long hair, but never thought I would make it this far. It has been a fun process, and the longer it gets the more I am enjoying it. I've been following the board for a while, and knew at some point I would start getting those comments to "cut your hair" and they have finally started, so I guess that must mean my hair is finally getting long. Not sure that at some point I won't give in to the pressure, but at this point I would love to go another couple of years at least. For now, I will take it day by day and continue to enjoy it!
It looks great!!! Don't cut it, I have finally hit the one year mark. I see that the next half a year or so it begins to descend. Yours is looking great, keep it growing ignore the herd.
Ross, you have great hair and have achieved a good length for only 14 months of growth... Ignore the naysayers, as Seminole says - let it grow and let it flow...
It's funny (strange) how people seem to think they have the right to make comments about a man's hair - maybe people say things about all sorts of other none of their business topics, but I just don't notice those comments - but, yeah - I've heard this and that said - to me and behind my back... sorry to disappoint you, but I don't give a flip.
The more complaints I got about my hair when I was younger the more it inspired me to not only keep my hair long but to grow it even longer. I thrived on all the complaints about my hair
and it only encouraged me to keep it flowing and growing.
Besides if you give in and cut your hair they'll only find something else to complain about. In my case it was i'm too short, my nose is too big, my build is too slight, etc.
Great progress, once you start to get comments it's starting to get long :)
Don't worry, if you're happy with your hair just grow it and ignore the comments!
Isn't it great to finally do something you've always wanted? Good for you finally deciding to do it!
From a very young child, I always wanted long hair. I didn't begin growing until I was 36 years old. I waited until I was well established in my profession, but continued to dress very professionally every day.
Too bad you had to leave the corporate world to do it.
Hope you have support from someone in your life to continue growing.
Thanks for posting... good for you...it looks great...
keep it growing, you will like the results....
all the best, The Spaf Man
